Laissez les bon temps Rouler...Feb 2010 2/20 MK Last part of the Night updt 9/70 pg65

For some reason I only associate cherry sours with Disney even though you can get them at other places. Chocolate and nuts just seem to go together for me.....add a little caramel....:cloud9:

Oh..so you know those restrooms....thanks for the review......I am now on a mission.

Goofy's cherry sours are the best!:thumbsup2 I love caramel and so does Danielle. The other night I had a ice cream sundae at Cheeseburger Cheeseburger. It had vanilla ice cream, caramel, Heath bits and whipped cream!

Good luck with your newest quest.

They are the best!!!!!

That sundae sounds so awesome...I may have to make the trip to Cold stone tonight....

I popped into your trip report while cruising the Trip Report section. I like all the pictures!

The Insectarium is something else. I like your review of it. And I've been in that Voodoo store too. They have some wild stuff. :lmao:

I'll have to go back and read more of the TR. I've only read the first two and last two pages so far.

We don't have Cold Stone anymore, I miss it. I got the best cake for the girls birthdays from there.

You don't? I went to one in Baton Rouge in what looked like a pretty new shopping center near LSU this past September.

Welcome! I remember you from DisneyTiger's reports. You relocated to New Orleans, right?

It was very interesting in there but also very cool. The heat was bad.

Please read along and comment.

I didn't know they had a Cold Stone there. I live in the Southeast part of BR almost to Denham Springs. I'll have to ask Michelle if she has seen it, she's going to LSU and is even doing a summer class.

I just wanted to wish all the men out there a "Happy Father's Day!" We hit the local water park for a few hours then crashed and watched movies all afternoon. We went to see Toy Story 3 last night. Danielle and I loved it, Dennis not so much. He did enjoy the parts with Barbie and Ken. I would pay to see it again and I did shed a few tears. I hope to get the start of our first park day up either tomorrow night or Tuesday night. The next week is going to be real busy. Michelle turns 20 on Wednesday and Danielle turns 11 on Friday. We're have a big slumber party on Friday night. Michelle's friends are going to be here with Danielle's friends. The big girls are going to give the little girls make overs. I can't believe how excited Michelle's friends are to play dress up with the tween girls. We'll also be doing Karaoke. I'm sure by Saturday I'll crash.

I recognized your screen name, but I couldn't remember from where.

Yup, that's me! In ten days it will be a year!

I'm going to add your TR to my subscription list. :thumbsup2

I looked at a map. It's in a shopping center on Burbank, just a bit SE of the stadium.

That is just so sweet that Michelle and her friends want to give the younger girls makeovers. That sounds like so much fun! My birthday is Thursday, so I'm right inbetween both your girls. :goodvibes

Thanks for joining in!:thumbsup2

Well I looked it up and found another one a little closer and I may have ordered a cake for Thursday. Got to keep it on the down low.

We'll be doing their birthday dinners together on Thursday night. They will also be getting their presents from us that night so they will be celebrating with you.

I thought I would start each day off with the planned itinerary and lets see if we stick to it.

This was our first park day so we of course wanted to hit rope drop. Breakfast was planned at the food court and we wanted to be at the bus stop for 8:00 a.m. We had a lunch ADR for 12:20 at Princess Storybook Dining. Diner would be in the park hopefully at Sunshine Seasons since we missed out last trip. To finish the night off we wanted to see Illuminations. Michelle, Jada and Lauren had never seen it. Dennis hadn't seen it since our adult trip in 2002. Danielle and I saw it in June but we had a horrible view and didn't enjoy it much at all.

Each person had different goals for the day. Dennis wanted to do MS, Soarin' and Test Track. He wanted to do Malestorm and avoid the World Showcase players at all costs. He also wanted to see Off Kilter. I wanted to do Soarin' and Test Track. I wanted to see the World Showcase players especially in the UK and any other entertainment around the countries. Michelle wanted to ride MS, Soarin' and Test Track. She also wanted to the World Showcase Players and do a KP mission. Danielle wanted to ride Soarin', Test Track and Spaceship Earth. She wanted to spend some time in Innoventions and do some KP missions. Jada was okay to do anything but rides. Lauren wanted to do whatever we did and was willing to try some rides with lots of encouragement. I almost forgot Michelle wanted to pick a pearl and possibly get her old pearl a setting. Danielle wanted to get her pearl set, but I forgot to bring it(bad mommie).

So how had did our day go?

Since this was our first park day everyone pretty much got up and going as planned. We all went down to breakfast together. I can't find the receipt for breakfast but I have ham & cheese omelets, fruit, bacon and 6 piece beignets written down. I'm pretty sure Dennis and I had the omelets, Michelle had the fruit and Danielle had the bacon and beignets. I know she didn't eat all the beignets and we had to help her even though she protested. After that we only let her order 3. Remember that we all had breakfast together because this would be the only time we did this. For the rest of the trip Michelle would sleep in a little and get ready while we had breakfast. We would pick her up a muffin and chocolate milk. She would meet us at the bus stop and eat there and on the bus ( I know she's not suppose to do this). She would also finish putting on her mascara while on the bus. What a diva! So after breakfast we all separated. Dennis went to get something from the car, the girls went to the restroom to clean the powdered sugar off their hands and went to bring our mugs back to the room. We all meet back up a the bus stop for 8:10, not too bad just 10 minutes behind. While we waited the CM manning the bus stop and taking number talked with us. He said this was his favorite resort and it was where he stayed when he stayed on property. It was very centrally located and we would find it didn't take long to get anywhere. Of course we told him where we were from so of course we had to talk about Mardi Gras and the Saints. He told us the Drew Brees and his family came back to the Magic Kingdom and stayed at the castle! How cool is that! No one deserved it more than him. The bus got there at 8:20 and we loaded with only one other family. We were in line to enter the park at 8:30. When I called Jada she was on her way. The let us in at 8:45 to be held up waiting for the park to open.

The plan was for Dennis and Michelle to head to MS and ride stand by. Danielle and I would make the run for Soarin'. Jada was lined up with us but I knew she wouldn't be able to keep up so I grabbed Lauren's ticket so I could get her a FP too and told her to meet me in the Land.

Dennis had the camera so he got some shots of their ride.

Michelle was the first person in line to ride!

Dennis on the ride.

Michelle on the ride.

After I got the FPs for Soarin' we hit the ladies room and met up with Jada and Lauren. We then went to Innoventions to get a FP for a KP mission. We walked towards Test Track to meet back up with Dennis and Michelle and ride stand by but it was down and too early to get another set of fps. So we walked back to the Seas to do the Nemo ride and Turtle Talk with Crush. This would be new for Jada and Lauren.

We spent some time in the shark area.

When it got closer to the time for Crush we lined up at the door. It was also almost time for us to get another set of fps. I volunteered to run get them while they did Crush. I really didn't mind since I had just seen it in June.

I waited for them to get out then we all headed to the Land to ride Soarin'. I think Jada took one of her breaks while we did this.

For some reason it was delayed so it took a long time even though we had fps. This was Lauren's first ride on Soarin' and her first trill ride. She has a natural fear of any thrill rides because Jada fears them but she really wanted to do what Danielle did. She sat next to me and she did great! She loved it and wanted to ride again. After Soarin' we meet up with Jada and jumped in line for Living with the Land. This is one of our family favorites and we even waited 35 minutes for it.

More to come!

Living with the Land Pictures!

It was now time to start walking towards Norway and check in for lunch. Along the walk we saw this.

And this!

I have to say it was very hard to get through Mexico since they were working on the new restaurant. Between the construction and line for people to get food from the stand it was a tight squeeze.

We grabbed fps for Dennis, I and our girls to ride Malestorm after lunch. I know who get fps for this ride. Well you have to remember it was very crowded on this trip. We checked in for our lunch then took our usual pictures by the waterfall. I was very disappointed to notice that the trolls from the windows were gone. We had so much fun in June trying to find all the hidden trolls.

We even had time for some troll pictures.

In the next update we'll have lunch with the Princesses.

Yay great update! I love this pic on the land ride taken from the front so it has some of the water in it too. Great picture!!

I forgot to post about those trolls on my TR but I noticed they were gone in February too! Bummer!! I thought they were cute and it was fun trying to see how many we could find.

I agree about Mexico! It'll be good when they finally have that done. It was bad on our June trip!

I can't take credit for the picture, Dennis took it. He has a much better perspective than I do.

We were so looking forward to finding the trolls. I guess they aren't back yet, did y'all see them on this last trip?

Mexico is still a mess? Bummer.

Wow - it's hard to get caught up on all of the trip reports when you are away form the boards for a few weeks!! I love all of your pictures. The ones of Michelle and Danielle's alter egos made me laugh.

You did so much in DTD - I would have been exhausted after that as well!

T-Rex looks really cool.

I loved the butterfly exhibit - the bugs - not so much!! :lmao:

Hooray for Lauren enjoying Soarin'! :yay: Maybe she'll be more adventurous with the rides now.

Happy birthday to Michelle and Danielle!

They were very good sports about it.

We were! We've never spent that much time there.

It was, we're hoping to repeat in the future.

Totally agree!

We did make some progress.

Happy birthday to Michelle and Danielle!

Thank you!

Yep. Never riding MS. So much enclosed space for me! But how awesome you guys were there that early!
