Ladybug Release?

I've seen this mentioned, especially in connection with the WL, a few times. Will someone tell me what it is? We'll be at WL 10/24 - 11/1. Thanks.

Hi. As I remember reading, the ladybug release program is an environmentally friendly program where they release ladybugs into the folige at (I think) the polynesian resort. Possibly the Wilderness Lodge also, not sure. Anyway, it is done at certain times and geared towards children. The Disney representative lets the children take part in releasing the ladybugs and I think they receive some kind of certificate or button or something showing that they participated. Sorry I am not more exact, it's been a while since I read about it. I'm sure if you called the resort they could give you the times and the days that it is done. Have fun!

I think I saw this on the Travel Channel when they were at the GF, but I've also heard about it at WL. I would call all 3, including Poly, to see who has it available....maybe they change it around? I think there is a charge for it, not sure though....part of a children's program or something....

Last week, when we were in EPCOT, they had a ladybug release program in the children's garden there. I t was a lot of fun. They even let the adults release the ladybugs.

Three yrs. ago we had a character breakfast at Wilderness Lodge. They had the ladybug release. My daughter did it and when she came back inside, Tigger started picking through her hair looking for ladybugs. He pretended he found one and put it in a drawer!
