OK ladies ........tell me PLEASE.

I am a "mom" and I am not a size 2-4-6. I am not a twenty-something year old and I do not need a lot of gold lemay on my suit.

I about had a stroke when I looked at a land's end catalog for a suit. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I looked at Kohl's today and the suits were very tiny........not exactly what I'm looking for.

I'm not a plus size......just a regular size.......a mom who needs a swimsuit. For less than $150!

Where have you had luck?

If you like land's end but don't want to pay land's end prices try their overstock online.
Sometimes Kohl's will have some decent sized swimsuits in a good price range. Also you might want to check out L.L. Bean's outlet store if you have one near you.

I buy my swimsuits at Sams Club or Costco, after season (they are a good price during season, but I have paid $10.00 or less for Jantzen and such type swimwear).

I know Land's End is pricey but well worth it IMHO. They last for years and they do make you look good. You can get one there for @ $100. I had one last for 6 years and still looked brand new. I lost weight and it was just too big. I f not I'd still be wearing it.

You can buy LE at Sears if you want to save $ on shipping.

I could have written that word for word! :thumbsup2

I don't care who you are, nobody needs gold lemae on a swimsuit:lmao: I never quite got the women who dress up swimsuits, i.e. jewelry, heels, paraoes, matching hats etc;)

With that said, I just ordered a nice suit from JC Penny with a code came to about 75.00. ANd trust me it is not a gold lemae thong:thumbsup2

I bought a really nice suit at Macy's last year for around $70 with all their discounts...and I am not a size 4.....more like a 14!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: I really like the better quality suits because they hold you in more......:rolleyes1

i am a plus size over 50 mom - my style is probably much older than you would like but i did find a decent suit there last year for around $30. i have not looked this year but if you're a regular size you might could find something. the suit has held up as good as one from jc penney that i spent $$$ on. good luck.

I bought one from Kohl's the other day, Chaps pink halter top tankini and the matching skirt thingie. (it's on their website)..... I could have written your post too!! If you have a store at your mall called Water Water Everywhere they had some cute "mom" suits last year (haven't looked at the mall yet this season) but average top and bottom was $110 ish. I'm still looking for the perfect suit too, so I would love to hear what others have found.

I also fit the older mom description, I bought mine from JC Penneys last year but I waited until the summer and then they went on clearance for around $30. I have also found some decent suits at TJ Max or Marshalls other years that were $20, I will have to try there again because I lost 30 pounds and the suits from last summer are way too roomy now.

anyone ever watch the show LOVE BOAT? This made me think of that show......:rotfl2:

Hit Lands End's Overstocks! I bought a tankini from there for $48 a few years ago. It has held up wonderfully and I will only buy LE suits now.

I buy one piece suits from Maxine of Hollywood. It's the only brand I buy. They hold up well and I have had the couple I have for several years.

I have found them at JCPenney and Bealls. Both have online stores.

If you take a trip to Florida look for Bealls Outlet. I've found Maxine suits for under $20 there.

Yesterday I bought a really nice ladies Speedo for $20 at Sams! It even has a built in bra. Lots of colors and even tankini styles to choose from!

Do you have a value city nearby? Or a Marshalls, or Burlington coat factory? Ive found suits at all 3 for 25 or under

I just went on the search for a new swimsuit and was quite disgusted with prices and choice of suits.
I found a wonderful suit, very cute, fits well, doesn't show too much, but doesn't look too matronly at JCPenney. And it was on sale, so I was very happy. I probably haven't shopped there in years, but it was my last hope and it turned out to be just the thing I needed.
