Just wondering, there are so many out there all promising younger looking skin, etc. So I was wondering which line you use and are you happy with it.

Cleanser?

Moisturizer?

I use Mary Kay and have used it for about the past 6 years. I love it because I have combination skin which could have acne and flake. The Mary Kay program stopped that from happening. I don't use it to look younger. For that I take supplements like omega-3, coenzyme Q10, etc. I don't think it's helping though.

I use a combination of Lancome products for the most part, but I also LOVE Olay Total Effects 7X. It seems to do wonders for my skin.

I mostly use Philosophy, but flip between it and Perricone, which has amazing firming products. I get both from Sephora.

Does anyone use Proactiv?

I don't have serious or chronic acne, but I have frequent breakouts; I also have fairly sensitive skin. I'd like to try Proactiv but I'm concerned it will dry out my skin too much.

Thanks!

Jurlique for everything except Lancome Eye Cream and makeup remover.

I prefer Clinique or Estee Lauder products, but I'll use Lancome occasionally.

I use Mary Kay as I use to be a consultant. I can still get my products but don't do any classes anymore. I do like their products. I think it does good for my skin--less breakout at that time of the month anyway!!!;)

I have my 17 year old daughter on Proactiv, and it's done alot to help her skin. She was on retinA, accutane, and every skin care product I could find to help her cystic acne. She was even on orthotricyclin birth control pills, mainly because on accutane they put you on birth control anyway,, but it did help her skin a bit too.

She had to go off accutane, due to side effects it was causing her. :/

She swears the proactiv products do more than anything else has so far, including stuff from the dermotologist. She hasn't had any excessive dryness at all. She is half Japanese tho, so has quite oily skin. I get her things from ebay now, as it's easier and cheaper.

Has anyone else used the proactiv? My daughter would like me to get it for her too and I'd be interested in anything anyone has to say. My daughter doesn't have a single mark on her face (I never did either growing up), but she really thinks this is going to do something for her.

I used to use Proactiv. It was okay, not a wonder product but okay. My favorite thing from the line was the glycolic acid toner, it did help. The cleanser was so-so. The "repairing lotion" is really just a benzoil peroxide product, which you could find in different forms and much cheaper at the drugstore.

Now I just use Olay foaming cleanser and Olay complete moisturizer. My skin seems to like it, so I will stick with it.

BTW, you must use sunscreen to keep from getting wrinkles, period. I don't think it will prevent them completely, but it will help. One with avobenzone, titanium dioxide, or zinc oxide.

I had a hard time finding a sunscreen that didn't make me break out or make me real greasy looking. The Olay Complete uses Zinc oxide for the sunscreen...maybe that is the difference?

I only use clinique skin care products and I only ever wear clinique makeup. I love the clinique advanced signs eye cream to get rid of the purple marks that you can get under your eyes.

use Murad - love it

have used Mary Kay (liked it) and Lancome (only so-so)

Have used exclusive Clinique skin care products since about the 6th or 7th grade, which would equate to about 20 years :earseek: . Never had a problem with it, and very rarely had breakouts, even as a teen. I attribute some of that to good skin genes, but I know the Clinique helped. I use the soap, toner and moisturizer (the yellow one). I also use mostly Clinique make up products. I do use St. Ives Apricot Scrub once or twice a week on my face. Good for exfoliating every once in a while. :D

I use all Mary Kay and like it very much. Have no idea if it makes me look younger...LOL,
but I do get compliments concerning my nice complexion.

I love Jurlique for skin care and use Estee for make up!

I love the Philosophy products and have heard of Perricone - maybe I'll have to try them.

Aurora - I get a great sunscreen from my dermatologist. Name of it is called Ti-Silc. I have roscea and my face is very picky. It is non greasy/non smelly but is expensive ($20 for a small bottle). I only use it on my face and then the over the counter stuff on the rest of the body.

I just ordered ProActive. I am currently using Mary Kay but as I have roscea, nothing is working.

arminnie, I got talked into trying Nicholas Perricone's line when I was at Sephora to get some 'I Believe' eye cream by Philosophy, and wanted something for firming the eye area. It's the only place I have seen it,, but they don't carry many cosmetic lines at the dept stores where I live. I got their restorative cream, which is quite good for reducing redness in sensitive skin, and firming, and I got their firming elixier, which is pretty smelly I think, but really makes my skin look very smooth. Later I got the firming toner (skip it, it's ok, but not great, and too much $$ for what it is),, and their two eye treatments, which I like. I still love my Hope in a Jar, and just got 'When Hope is not enough'. I used to work for them, so I really love their ethos in what they represent. I love trying new lines tho, but always go back to Philosophy :)

yecats,,a word of caution, if you have roscea, proactiv may be too intense for you. It's pretty strong stuff. Also, be careful around the hairline, as it will lighten it a little. It's definately not for everyone,, but it's working a treat on my 17 year old. Try to introduce just one product at a time, to reduce the chance of your skin reacting adversely.
