Is it okay to wax or shave? Does anyone shave for other reasons besides wearing a bikini?

I get a Brazilian Wax, but that's only cuz I like to frolic nekkid in the Summertime.... Bald as a baby

In off times or when I just haven't had the time to go wax, I use a lady shaver by Bic or Nair....

I prefer waxing! And....... not offended in the slightest by the question either...

Hey wheezie, how much is that translated into US dollars??? I'm a sucker for hair removal devices. My mom rolls her eyes when I tell her the newest thing I've bought. I keep thinking one of these days I'll find something that's easy, as painless as possible, and effective.

Hey, how much do these Brazilian wax things costs and can they do your entire legs as well? I can't stand shaving my legs. I always end up cutting myself, missing spots, etc. I can never do it perfectly.

And about the hair removing device that Wheezie mentioned - That would be wonderful. Let us ALL know when that becomes available .

Whenever I shave "there" I also get awful bumps and it itches so bad! Any ideas? Will coochy work? I usually wear suits with the skirt, 'cause, well, we Italians girls get hairy! LOL

Another question...Did your mothers teach you how to shave this area or friends/others? My mom NEVER even talked about it with me...I wore shorts over my swimsuit for a long time....

I just don't want to be so embarrassed about it with my daughters.

She told me one of the few good things about aging was that her "puff" (her word,not mine...) is gone! It just slowly fell out and never grew back! LOLOL!! Is that true???

I don't see a problem with waxing or shaving if that is what you want to do. And yes I shave for other reasons, because I don't wear a bikini.

That is TOO funny. The last time I had that "area" shaved was for my Surgery in Feb. An African American woman had to shave me, and I said; "You must LOVE your Job." And she said: "I live and breathe it." She used an electric shaver. Anyway, I was thinking of keeping that "area" that way, bald that is, but its slowly growing back.

I don't have any problems with nair. 4 minutes and every hair is gone and it lasts about 3 days for me too. I never heard of Veet Mouuse, is that in the same isle, or do you get it some place special? Nair kills my fingernails! LOL

I have the perfect lady in Lewisville who does the Brazillian wax.
I go to her to for hair removal on my face (Threading, ancient method of torture, I mean hair removal).
Anyway when I was having my face done she mentioned she also does waxing. She tried to talk me into getting a Brazillian and it would have been $35.00 and $25.00 for regular wax.
I would feel entirely comfortable going to my person as after seeing my face she is very aware of my excessive hair issue.

I noticed if you use a new razor after being in the bath or shower a while helps as well. I used the Venus razor my DH put in my stocking last Christmas w/ a fresh blade, lots of shaving cream and first time I got absolutely no bumps.

Ok just to clarify, I'm not embarrassed to go to the Gyno, but some people are.(I personally know a few) So I would think that if you don't have a problem with a doctor why would would it be embarrassing to get waxed?
