Ladies, if you don't wear sneaks in the parks, what DO you wear?

I hate the look of big, clumpy sneaks with cute capris or shorts but I don't know what to wear besides sneakers that won't make my feet have blisters!

I would love to be able to wear cute sandals or just flip flops but don't want to ruin my vacation either.

Any suggestions or tips on what you wear?

I've worn Teva Mush flip flops when it was really hot and we were having a short day. My daughter can walk all day in her Birkenstocks - they drive me nuts after an hour or two.

I've found that sneakers are the best thing for my feet. I'll never see those people again so I really don't care how I look!

I'm young so maybe that's why I can still get away with this, but I'm in flip flops 24/7 once I can be, so that means the entire WDW trip I am too.

A couple trips ago I bought a pair of Reef flip flops from Typhoon Lagoon I think, but I've seen them all over WDW. Those are super comfy to wear in the parks, and they have support too.

I wear Keen sandals. They are soooo comfortable and versatile. They keep my feet warm if it is cool out, but also keep them cool if warm out. My whole family has them. I like them because they protect my toes in the parks and have great support and are waterproof. I 100% recommend these sandals!

I am positive no one will agree with me on this one but the first time we went with no hopper and no breaks until evening, I wore...flip flops. Honestly, I was TOTALLY fine but I wear flip flops 99.9999% of the time from April - Oct and I have hiked 5 mile (not intense) trails in them as well as walked the entire Bronx Zoo and did 2 full days at Dollywood in them as well (big park, if you haven't been...)

The second time we went, I wore crocs, but not the "original" kind, they were a sandal type of croc. Again, totally fine. We did hop and we did have downtime but I think I would have been fine regardless.

However, there are many cute sneakers that are out there these days that if you break them in well first, they should be ok, I would think.

We are going in a few weeks and I plan to buy a nice, sturdy new pair of flip flops in the coming weeks :)

Ha, I was wrong!! More flip flop wearers than I thought!

Reefs are my #1. I wear nothing else. Many cute colors and styles.

Sneakers!

My mom swore by her berks and didn't bring sneakers. By the second day she had blisters and was wearing a pair of sneakers.

Bring a pair - just in case!

I use to try to wear cute sandals in the evening or for nice dinners. I might try, but end up with sneakers on.

Croc flip flops and / or JCrew flip flops. Both and squishy and mushy and comfortable and my feet don't sweat. We bought sneakers for Disney before we left for our trip and I didn't wear them once. For me, they're just not all that comfortable. Give me flip flops any day! :thumbsup2

I loved in my Crocs Cleo sandals during out last trip. We were there 13 days over the Memorial Day weekend through June 10 (humid and rain showers). Not a single blister fromy Cleos!

I second your flip flop comment! One trip (about 10 days I think) all I really wore was Old Navy flip flops, and I was fine. But I do know most people wouldn't be comfortable like that, even my mom thought I was nuts.

The same, normal, nothing fancy, Wal•Mart sandals I wear everywhere else. :)

I also forgot to add that "big, clumpy sneaks with cute capris" will NOT be on the Fashion Police's top ten list. Just wait until you see what some people wear in public.

Tevas terra fi hiking sandals.I go with comfort and stylish goes out the window. But I have foot issues to begin with so I need to make sure I keep that in mind

I wore Teva sandals during our last trip and I was so comfy! It was hot so it was also nice to not have hot socks and tennis shoes on.

Croc flip flops worked out well for me. I bought them a few weeks ahead of time to break them in and had NO problems at the parks. Will be wearing them again for our next trip...:goodvibes

I just got the Teva westwater and tried them out yesterday. Super comfy. They are mary jane balet flats. Can't post the link( not enough posts). They're easy to Google

I also got the croc flip flops. They are comfy but have not tried wearing them all day yet. Like you, I don't want to wear bulky tennis shoes with capris or shorts.

I am a flip flop fanatic! I have Croc, Keen, Chaco, and Teva. They are all great for all day, heavy walking wear. My personal favs are my Chaco (I have three different pairs) I have seen LOTS of post around here raving about Croc also. My advice is to see which one fits your foot the best and break them in before going.

Happy shoe hunting!!!
