Ladies, can any of you recommend a salon brand shampoo?

I'm trying to find a shampoo that I absolutely love. I prefer salon brands and my hair is quite long (mid-back) and healthy. Not dry or color treated. Any recommendations of a brand to try out? I asked my stylist already, so I know her opinion, let's hear yours!

I use biolage for shampoo and conditioner and bedhead for styling products

I have fairly think long (also mid back) wavy/curly hair and I have been loving Paul Mitchell Super Skinny, helps control frizz but not too heavy. I like it enough to have bought nearly a years supply when on sale in January. I especially like them in summer when it is humid, but have not had any drying problems this winter either.
I found the nexus shampoos to be wonderful shampoos and conditioners but after a while they seem to be heavy on my hair. I also tried a variety of back to basics, with mixed results. the blue ones I can't think of them off the top of my head, didn't like them at all, Tigre brand not enough power for my hair. Aveda is good but not as easy for me to get so I generally haven't used a lot of them, used to like the almond cherry bark conditioner. I didn't much like the Grahm Webb for curly hair, but have liked the ice stuff in the past, I just like this Paul stuff the best right now. Funny thing is I have never really liked any Paul products before so I was really unsure about this when my stylist suggested I try them.

Aveda....check with the store and they can give you an idea of which shampoo would work best for your hair. I love the Rosemary Mint shampoo and the Sap Moss shampoo.

I always liked the Awapuhi Shampoo from Paul Mitchell. Loved the smell and it made my hair feel great.

Another Aveda fan here - mostly because of the smell, though. If I need serious shampoo (dry, slightly frizzy VERY thick) I stick with the Graham Webb line - great conditioning.

I'm a big fan of Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny serum as well. It really keeps the frizz down.

Aveda (Brilliance is good for long, thick hair) and the Alterna Caviar shampoo. I have had many stylists recommend the Alterna line.

What ever you decide on if you have a sallys close to you check there to see if they have it in their generic brand. I get paul mitchell shampoo one & nexus Humectress moiturizing conditioner. Comes in a 16 oz black and white bottle, says Generic value products and cost $3.99 a bottle. A couple of months ago they had the shampoo one 16 oz bottle on sale for $2.99 so i bought 4 of them. :)

what I'd like to know is what shampoo/conditioner the salons actually use when they cut and color yur hair. It always is soft and smells so good and I can't find that even when I buy name brand products.

When I go to an Aveda salon they use whatever Aveda shampoo the stylist says will work best for my hair (usually Shampure).

Other salons have used Alterna, Rusk, Biolage, Graham Webb, etc. I always look at the bottles or ask them what they are using in case I either love it or hate it.

Another Biolage fan here. I've been using their products for years. Every now and then I make a switch, but I always come back to Biolage.

I really love Aveda. I am pretty frugal with everything else, but will spend the money for Aveda products because they work SO much better than anything else I have ever tried.
