Ladies, anyone try Seasonale yet?

Or know someone who is on it? Any information you have would be great. My next doctor appointment is in Jan, and was going to see if I could be swithced to it.

Is that the pill that eliminates periods (or something close to it)? I saw a report on it, but as I am trying to conceive, it would be a little silly for me to take it .

There was just a thread on this a few days ago. Try doing a search. I just asked my OB/GYN about it and she told me that it's much more expensive than regular pills. So, she wrote me a prescription for regular pills that would work the same exact way. She instructed tha pharmacy to give me 4 packs of pills that will last 12 weeks since I won't be taking the placebo. Normally, 4 packs would last 16 weeks. But, then I get an extra refill at the end to compensate for the "lost"pills. It's the same concept as Seasonale, just cheaper. Seasonale, isn't any different than other pills. It's just the way it's marketed and filled that makes it "special".

I read an article about it. It said that many docs have been doing this for years anyhow. It is evidently not "necessary" to have a flow every month and the risks are no different than those associated with the "monthly" pills.

This will be a blessing to women who suffer from cramps and also to female athletes.

I am on it and can't stand it! I don't want to start another one after this pack is finished. I've had tons of cramps and some other nasty side effects. I would rather have one every month than deal with these side effects. But it could just be because my body is so strange anyway.

I am on it. I started it a month ago. it is more expensive becasue you are paying for 3 months worth at once. but this is the ONLY pill that has not me sick!
