Ladies - and I guess gentlemen too - what mascara do you use? Which is best?

I need to find a different mascara. I have long eyelashes, but they fall straight down. I have to use a heated eyelash curler on them to get them to curl.

So -- I don't need a legthening mascara, I'm just looking for one that will make my lashes look full, but not clumpy.

Which do you wear and why?

I use Maybelline, and here is a tip, if you heat up your eyelash curler with your blow dryer before you use it, you'll notice that it works really well.

As someone with very light thin eyelashes, I have tried them all. I like Lancome Defincils, but my absolute favorite for thickening and darkening is Voluminous by L'Oreal (can't beat the price either!)

Oh geeze! I meant eyelash curler, not curling iron. Could you see me trying to use a curling iron on my eyelashes! I mean they're long, but not that long!

Thanks ahhmom1, that's what I do. I saw a battery operated one on QVC today that I'm thinking about ordering. It heats fast and doesn't over heat. I can't tell you how many times I burned my eyelid the using the heated curler.

I've never heard of heating an eyelash curler Many years ago I did have nice eyelashes that took a curl. Now, after going thru the "change" and using hrt's, I find my lashes (and hair on my head) thinning and not curling. I do use L'Oreal as it does make a bit of a statement on my eyes.

What's really weired is my eyelids have gotten thicker with age along with my lashes getting thinner.

I can't help at all because I can't use any makeup of any kind. Not lipstick, eyeliner blush or anything else. The only thing I can use on my face is water and I have found a moisturizer I can use but I have to be careful not to use too much. It drives my ds nuts because she uses a lot of different things.

I have tried many, Saffron, and still am looking for the perfect mascara.
Jeafl, Lancome and L'Oreal are owed by the same parent company, I believe so that makes sense about you liking both of those kinds. I will try your L'Oreal one, Thanks!

Of all the mascaras I have tried my favorite is L'OREAL's Le Grand Curl. It curls your lashes and just makes them look exquisite. I like the regular though, the waterproof is a little too waterproof for my taste.

Mascara bothered my contacts so I had to choose which to wear a long time ago and haven't worn mascara since. I tried a couple of times but it really bothers me now that I'm not used to it.

You had me scared because I WAS picturing a curling iron...

I'm going to check out some of these suggestions too because I also used to have long lashes that curled but things are a-changing with me too these days!

I switch around...alot!

Right now I'm using Clinique's Lash Doubling mascara. But in my make-up box I also have Maybelline's Full 'N Soft curved brush mascara.

I really don't have any favorites, like I said, I switch alot and buy whatever strikes my fancy at the time!

Another vote for L'Oreal Voluminous.
My lashes are long and they curl a little, but without mascara they are almost invisible.
