As most of you probably remember my "baby" Lacy (my 11 yr old poodle) had a problem a few months back with some pretty violent seizures. She was put on medicine which has helped, but not completely. She had another seizure this morning. Matthew took off from work, since I couldn't, and took her to the vet to be checked out. While they were there they noticed something wrong with her eye. After a closer inspection they discovered she has acute glaucoma in one eye. They don't know if they have caught it early enough to save her eye. They are putting her on an IV treatment for the next 24 hours to try to save it. If this doesn't work, she will have to have her eye removed. They can't just let it remain and her be blind in one eye because it would become painful for her.
Please, please, keep my baby in your prayers. I'm sick over the fact that all this is happening and I'm stuck at my stupid job and can't be there for her. I should be able to get out of her soon enough to pick her up at the vet to be transported to the emergency vet across town to continue her treatment. That part always kills me though, having to carry her hooked up to these tubes and bags.
Please, please, keep my baby in your prayers.
