I have used L&M a lot and have had no problems. For this last trip I got a price quote for Alamo that was quite a bit cheaper and included an extra driver. So instead of waiting for the alamo line, I decided to see if L&M would honor it. They looked at the quote and said sure. Well after they tried to crunch the numbers, they decided they couldn't. The first person who looked at it didn't notice it was for 10 days instead of just a week, I was also using a coupon and they wanted to charge me for the extra driver. So after 10 minutes at their counter I had to go stand in the alamo line anyway. Fortunately I was not in any hurry and the line was only about 10 minutes long.
I have read on these boards of some who have done this successfully and even in the past I used a price quote to get a better price from L&M but not this time. Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone else who has been considering doing this.
