Hi All

We are a family of 6 (grandma, grandpa, me, and 3 little ones DN9, DD6 and DD5).

Currently we have booked a day room at Hyatt MCO since our flight is late 5:50pm, but I just got an email from united saying the flight time is now closer to 7, so that got me thinking, should I keep the day room and just do a pool day and relax? or should I try to do a day at Kennedy Space Center?

If doing the KSC, I would need to cancel our DCL transfer and have our luggage with us, is there a good private car/limo company you can recommend? does this mean I will have to keep our luggage in the trunk of car? (we have no interest in renting car to drive ourselves)

How long would we need to do KSC?

What time should we be back at MCO for security and checking bags?

You could do either.

My choice would be the day room/pool. Remember, you're going to be getting up early that morning (after several days of (most likely) late nights. Having a bed to rest/regroup in before boarding a plane sound good to me.

How early you need to be at MCO varies, depending on where you're flying. And the security at MCO can be a lengthy process, on occasion.

good points on the us getting up early that day and the little ones needing to rest a bit. we will be flying to SFO,. so long flight, but at least it's a non-stop flight.

Just an added note that if flying on a participating airline and using DCL transport, the cruise line transports and checks in your luggage so you don't have the hassle of handling it. What a luxury this was last Friday! Felt bad for the families hauling around piles of suitcases until they could check them in.

Had 7pm flight so booked the Hyatt. So glad I did when that was delayed till 10:30 due to storm/ cancelled flight. The change of venue eased the wait and it was so much more tolerable.

yes, that was part of the reason we wanted to stay put with Hyatt as well, now it's up to the family for the vote!
