Kroger Grocery Delivery

I just did an identical practice order between instacart(Publix) and Kroger. Kroger was $30 cheaper!
In case you were wondering the order consisted of 12 eggs, gallon milk, english muffins, bacon, 3 12 packs of pop, butter, and a case of water. It was going to be $70 with instacart and $40 for Kroger....both including delivery fees. (Instacart had a $4 additional charge for "heavy" items LOL)

But your paying an upfront membership fee with Kroeger. Since we only travel to WDW once a year that is a wash. Also I have priced compared with Instacart and they pretty close if not exactly the same price as “ Publix”. Could just be the individual items happen to be cheaper at Kroger than Publix. And since everyone’s items will differ, can’t really make a blanket statement that Kroeger is cheaper.

I have never done delivery with Kroger ( I hate delivery and only use it when I fly to WDW). That price includes a 9.95 delivery fee

Try Walmart - they are usually priced even lower (& unlike Kroger's, items are in-stock or replaced with similar/higher priced item at no additional charge, delivery is prompt, no overcharges/missing items, & customer service is very good).

Great to hear! We've never ordered groceries but have an upcoming trip with extended family (including a baby). How does the delivery work? Do you have to meet them? Will Bell Services keep items cold? If so, is that an extra fee? We've never ordered from Kroger, but DH has a Kroger card, and we've shopped there when we're in the Kroger area (HEB has a monopoly in our area). We'll definitely consider this.
There are several delivery services and they all pretty much work the same way. We currently use Dizzy Dolphin and they are very popular. We have also used Garden Grocer. Dizzy Dolphin has a website you order from. They do not have a set list like some, we just attach our modified weekly grocery list. They then price it out for you and if you approve then they shop it for you. They also deliver alcohol and you do not need to be there to receive it like some require, they verify age before you order. They text you when it has been delivered and ours has usually been delivered before we get our room assigned. This way you can go about visiting the parks or whatever until your room it ready. They deliver it(as they all do) to Bell Services and yes they have large frig. for items needing refrigeration. When you are ready to receive your order you call Bell Services and for a standard $6.00 fee plus we tip they deliver it to your room or you can pick it up yourself. Hope this helps....smjj

I don’t have a membership to Kroger. You don’t need one to order.

I wish walmart used better bags for delivery. A year ago we had family of 10, eating most meals in room. We had 37 thousand bags, each with three items in it. 1/3 were ripping.

while we haven't had any bags rip, they do put like one or two items in each. Our orders are usually about $250-300 (just 2 people, but for two weeks) and we wind up with about a gazillion bags  We use a few for putting dirty-ish shoes in, quadruple bagging somewhat delicate items, and to wrap food scraps in so the room doesn't smell (before we toss them in garbage). The remaining nine hundred million go in the recycling bin.
