Kristin & Stephen's Magical Disneymoon - May 2013

I've been looking at Disney's newest ship the Fantasy and I have fallen in love with the ship, even more so than the Disney Dream. I love all the restaurants more than the Dream and the clubs. Also, They have the Aladdin show on the Fantasy and that's steve's favorite Disney Movie. I would really really love to take a cruise on this ship for my honeymoon, however, the nearest sail date to ports I'd like to see is September 16. That's 2 weeks after my wedding. I really don't want to wait two weeks to go on my honeymoon. I know myself and I know for those two weeks I will be so distracted that I won't be able to accomplish ANYTHING! So.....I don't know. I so friggin indecisive.

About waiting for 2 weeks for your honeymoon. That's what we're doing. We got married 2 weeks ago and leave for our honeymoon tomorrow. When we first booked it, I was a disappointed that it wasn't right away, but I knew I wanted this ship and ports. Now, I am SOOOO glad that it happened this way! I didn't have to worry about packing before the wedding for the honeymoon (I still need to pack for tomorrow :rolleyes1) and it gave me time to just relax and enjoy being married.

I would wait 2 weeks for the honeymoon. We are leaving 5 days after our wedding for our honeymoon as the ship only leave on saturdays. It will be worth it 100%. I'm going to love being able to unpack and re-pack and settled down from all the wedding hustle and bustle. I hope you book your cruise soon!!

I too am so excited about all the new details coming out on the fantasy! IWe went on the Dream but didn't have enough time to enjoy it as much. So the fantasy is going to be a big treat.:goodvibes

You Ladies do make a good point. It might be nice to chill for a while after the wedding and THEN do the honeymoon. I'm going to take this into some serious consideration.

Yeah, I agree with the PPs about waiting.

You'll probably still have a lot to do after your wedding. Like...opening your presents and getting them all organized? Then starting on those thank you cards....And then packing for your trip! A 2 week delay sounds like a good idea. That way, you're not coming straight home to post-wedding stuff.

The more I think about it, delaying the honeymoon seems like the best way to go. I'm even considering delaying it all the way until the first week of December and doing the land/sea package then. I've heard the crowds are very low at this time and I've ALWAYS wanted to see Disney decorated for Christmas. Not to mention the Osbourne Lights!!

Frist week of December sounds really nice!

I've read somewhere that instead of booking one of Disney's special land/sea packages, you should just book the two separately by yourself cause they charge you more just cause it's a "package". You can have a land vacation, then, book the sea one that happens right after.

I just read your PJ and thought I would say hi to a fellow neighbor! We live in Orland, and I see your DF went to Stagg - I went to Sandburg!!! I think you need an update!! Where are you getting married? Where is your reception going to be?

Can't wait to read more...
