Kristin & Stephen's Magical Disneymoon - May 2013

Love your engagement story. :lovestruc
We chose our date about the same way... my favorite number is 24 & coincidentally DF & I started dating on October 24th. I loveeeee October and would have loved to get married that month. But 1. the 24th of 2012 is like a Wednesday (I think) & wouldn't have worked & 2011 would be too close (we are paying on our own) So process of elimination gave us two other 24's or sometime in October. I didn't want to wait until October because I am too impatient so we decided on June. Pretty much a year and a half of being engaged.

But enough about me! :rotfl:
Love the color choices. I really like the teal (but then again I am biased because that is one of our colors. We are doing teal & red) but the orange is gorgeous. It is such a pretty fall color, def. my fave. I think there is a lot of room to play around with it! & if you cannot find bm dresses in orange you can always choose another color, and have their bouquets in orange? IDK.

You will figure it out, it will come to you! :thumbsup2
Can't wait to read more!!

I think if orange is one of your favorites, you should definately go with orange!! You can definately find pretty BM dresses in orange. There's almost every color nowadays! Especially if you are wanting to get married in October, I think it's perfect!

I just remembered I scanned Steve's Prom picture a few months back.

Thank you everyone for your input on my color choices. I torn between red & cream and the orange.

Since I'm going to be an Escape bride, I can't really DO anything yet. However, here are my ideas for my wedding day.

I want to hold the ceremony at the Wedding Gazebo at the YC.

Later on in the day my family wants to have a grand gathering at Epcot.

Here is the description of the Grand Gathering we want to do from WDWinfo.com

This event is hosted by "Auntie Roz" at Epcot's Odyssey Restaurant. Served buffet style, this International dinner features the cuisine from five different nations.

While enjoying your meal, storytelling and live musical entertainment is provided. This event features some of your favorite Disney Characters who join the guests on the dance floor.
If you're celebrating a special occasion, just let Auntie Roz know and she'll take it from there.

Once you've enjoyed your evening of food and fun, you're escorted to a reserved viewing area for the nightly "Illuminations: Reflections of Earth" where a delicious dessert buffet is served.

Are you tapping into my brain???? LOL, I love the gazebo at the Yacht Club and its top on my list of places that I would select if I were to do a Disney wedding.

Aw, you guys are so cute together!

Thanks Crissy!! This is what my and friend I refer to as "Brain Touchies." I guess Great Mind think a like.

The wedding Gazebo is my favorite out of all the wedding venues at WDW. I love the quaint quality of the Yatch Club and the Gazebo is so pretty.

Since we can't have very many people at our actual wedding, we want to have a party back at home to celebrate our new marriage. My brother works at a really awesome restaurant called Chuck's Southern Comfort Cafe and the restaurant has an awesome bar called the Voodoo Lounge. My family has gotten to know the owner and my Brother has a great report with everyone at the place.

My plan is to rent out the Voodoo Lounge and cater from the restaurant and do an open bar. Hopefully since my family is friendly with the owner and one of my Mom's childhood friends runs the promotion department, we can get a deal.

If anyone is in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and you want some good Barbeque and/or southern food, check it out.

I just had a great idea for my Save The Dates. My DF and I are going to Disney this October for my birthday. We'll actually be in Disney exactly one year before we get married there. :lovestruc

When we take our Photopass picture in front of the castle, I want to make a sign that says "We're getting married in Disney" and hold it up. Then use that photo as the basis for the Save the Dates. I'm also thinking about getting magnets made so our guests can put them on their Fridge at home.

I knew who my flower girls were going to be even before I got engaged. These two little girls are like my own. They are Madeline (Pocahantas) and Juliana (Snow White) and they are my baby cousins.

Last week I was looking at flower girl dresses with their mom and big sister Mia (who is going to be one if my bridemaids). The babies (my flower girls) started arguing about who was going to wear which dress. At which point at had to yell over them, "You're both going to wear the same dress!!" But they are adorable and I love them. They are so excited that I'm getting married at Disney.

Here is who I've decided I want to be in the wedding party. Steve, my DF, is very indecisive (we both are actually) and he's having a problem deciding who he want to be his Best Man. So this is based on who I think he's going to pick.

Maid of Honor
Christina. We've been best friends since 6th grade. She been there for me through thick and thin.

Best Man
Jon. Steve's Best Friend since Kindergarten and have lived down the street from eachother since they were 4. Steve was his Best Man is his wedding. This is who I think Steve will eventually pick.

Rest of the Wedding Party
Lauren - Steve's Sister

Scott - Steve's Brother

Ryan - My Brother

Mia - My Cousin

Kevin - One of Steve and my close friend since high school. This is Steve's other canidate for Best Man.

Quin - One of Steve and my close friend since high school. We met her when she was dating one of our friends for a few years. She claims that she made out because she got us in the "divorce." We always joke that if something happens to Steve, Quin has already laid claim to me. :lmao:'

We also want Steve's sister's Fiance, Graham (who will be her husband by the time we get married) to stand up to but I can't find another girl who will also be included in that oh so important 20 person guest count. Since Steve's Parents are divorced, I thought it would be nice to have Graham walk Steve's mom down the aisle, that way he's still included.

If you want to see pics of the Gazebo with a wedding part in red and ivory you can check out the pics in my pj/tr as I used red EVERYWHERE as it's my favorite color :)

Very cute idea!!! Love it!!!

Cute idea for the Save the Dates! :thumbsup2

I know I told you before, your nieces are adorable! What dresses were you looking at for them? Post some sample pics. :)

I think thats a good solution you have for Graham. The only other idea I culd think of is if you wanted him to do a special reading.

WHAT? I had no idea you started a PTR!! Well, I'm here now!

This is so cute! Another idea is to hold up a blank white sign and then use photoshop or paint to add the wording. I guess it depends what you think is easier - actually writing out the large words, or adding them in later. It may also be easier to read if you add the wording later, in case you get some glare on the sign. Just a thought. :thumbsup2

I also love the magnet idea - we are doing that as well!

AWwwwwww, your flower girls are adorable!

I'm nowhere NEAR getting married but I know who I want as flowergirl, ring bearer, and wedding party too! Haha, I spend way too much time thinking of this stuff.

Lol, your best friend's name is Christina? Kristin and Christina.

Oh girl, I know how you feel, why do you think I already have to many ideas. :rotfl2: I already knew what I wanted even before I had the ring.

Also, funny you should say that about Christina's name. Her twin sister's name is Katelyn and Katelyn's Best Friend name is Kirsten. There were many times especially when we were in high school that we'd all be together at my friends house for the weekend or whatever and there would be Kristin, Christina, Katelyn and Kirsten. It was insane. Too many "K" sounds. :lmao:
