We had breakfast at Kouzzina last Thursday (11/11), and I can report that as we walked up to the restaurant, we encountered two people standing outside with plans in their hands that we could plainly see, discussing the construction project.
I don't know what, if anything, they will do to the inside, but the outside will now be splashed PROMINENTLY with Cat Cora's name and picture! (Assuming the plans we saw were final).
We noticed that every CM was asking every table of guests as they were being seated if they had heard of Cat Cora and if they knew what a BIG DEAL it was to have an Iron Chef's restaurant at WDW. "She's one of the top 4 chefs in the world!" the breathless CMs were claiming. (Um, she's one of 4 chefs on a TV show and, if you want to split hairs, she didn't win her spot on the show -- she was just hired for it. That's a far cry from tops in the world.)
I'm not anti-Cat or anything, and I can say that we all enjoyed our breakfast there, but the to-do seems to have to do with the desire to better market the restaurant as a special destination than anything else.
