Well, with the storms today our pool time was interrupted more than once and I did not walk around to see. When we go back I’ll report if the therapy status has changed. If you don’t hear from me assume it’s still the same.

We are headed down for our first stay at the Beach Club this December. We've always stayed at the Wilderness Lodge previously but with our kids much older teens therefore equivalent size wise to adults, we opted for the Deluxe room for a bit more space as I have medical equipment I have to bring with me. There's not much info on those rooms. I think my understanding so far is there are very few of them. Any one ever stay in one of these rooms? Opinions? Pros and Cons? I don't think I get to choose a view option like the other room choices. Any info anyone can share will be greatly appreciated. I just want to make sure it's a good choice for our family.

There are only (6) Deluxe rooms). (1) on the 1st floor, (1) on the second floor, and (2) on both the 3rd, and 4th floors.

They all considered "Water" views. They are configured as 2 Queen Beds and 1 Queen-Size Sleeper Sofa.

My family has stayed in the deluxe rooms by the quiet pool and highly recommend. They all have a long hallway type entrance where you can place your ECV or strollers if needed and then it has a queen sofa bed instead of the single daybed tucked away in its own corner. We loved the first floor room you have the quiet pool and hot tub right there outside your door. We also stayed in the fourth floor room by the quiet pool which has a very large extended balcony if you prefer a higher floor and then you would have a boardwalk and lake view . The other 2 deluxe rooms over look the back lake side entrance and SAB pool slide.

The hot tub on top of the rocks nearest to the gym was operating as a hot tub today. I verified with the group of people in it and my foot verified it was hot too. The other two were still “cold”. If that changes later don’t shoot the messenger! I’m just reporting what I saw today.

That is fantastic news, thank you. Is this the one that is considered the adult only hot tub, or the one next to it, open to anyone? Was there a sign that says adult only?

It was all adults in it but I did not notice a sign. That being said a sign is in front of it today saying it is closed. The one next to it on the rocks is open and functioning as a hot tub today too though. So things are happening and hopefully all will be righted soon.

Ha! Just after I typed that three unsupervised kids got in the one that is marked as closed. I guess the rules don’t apply to them! Yes, it’s one of those weeks here and I miss the winter and spring months.

thank you! that is the best news ever. I live for the hot tubs at SAB, we don't do the parks anymore, we park ourselves at SAB all week and love it. Have a great time!

Here now and looking at the state of the resort overall it needs all new paint, gutters, trim, etc. Basically the works and my money is on all of that work causing the extension. Might as well do it all at once right?

There is scaffolding along the bank of resort view rooms from the quiet pool to the “L” nearest to the lake and they are replacing the roof but it may be more involved on the lower floors possibly. I didn’t walk over yet to see the extent. Scaffolding and walls at the main entrance as everyone knows, which is less of a nuisance than I thought it would be. They are also carrying scaffolding through the building from the cast lot behind the tennis court but I don’t know where it is going exactly. Other than that it’s business as usual and we are not bothered by any of it at all.

Thanks for the info! We are going to BC second week of September. We have Water View and always request to be near the quiet pool. Per your description is that not a good request based on construction?? Trying to picture your description of scaffolding near the quiet pool. Is that just resort view room side or water view as well (looking at quiet pool)?
