KOTS - A support group!!

When I was planning my first trip I saw this thread and now that I am actually a KOTS I cannot find it anymore.

KOTS means Keeper of the Secret, you are the one who holds the secret that you are planning a family vacation. You could be keeping this secret from DH, or the kids, or everyone!! But we need a place we can discuss our excitement and ourplans to share the secret.

We are planning trip #2, we booked the bounceback when we were there in September. DH and I are the only ones who know. We have not told anyone (partly because our friends and family to not "get" Disney, and partly because we are trying for #2 and may have to cancel).

Anyway, it is SO hard not to talk about it!! I almost slip up everyday. Especially when people ask about our most recent trip, it is hard not to say "We're going back!!"

I am certain there are others out there...right?

I am also a KOTS once removed... Okay it is a bit confusing. DD is Marching in the Orange Bowl next January. I have sent a confidential letter to the band director to get the dates. I have always wanted to see Disney at Christmas. It is not in our plans, but once I have the dates, I am putting down the deposit with my "Mad" money and will see if I can make it work. I won't be telling anyone....... It's my secret!

KOTS for the second time around here. We surprised DD for her birthday several years ago, but that was an easy one since DS was a baby and I could chat to him about it all day long. Our kids are constantly asking when we get to go back to Disney, but we've put them off with the excuse that I've gone back to school. Tuition is eating all our vacation money up!

Anyway...we booked about a month ago for an extended stay next Christmas. We're going to leave the day after they get out for Christmas break and won't be back until the day before they go back to school in January. Such a long time to keep a secret! Hopefully, this thread can help us all keep our traps shut. The reveal is definitely worth it...just wish it wasn't so hard on us!

How fun! The Christmas decorations are gorgeous! You will have a wonderful time.

Oh how I wish this thread was around a few weeks ago!!! I was dying to tell my kids about our first trip (which is next month) and was searching for a great way to reveal the surprise. I had many suggestions on my thread "how can I surprise my kids" which is probably on page 2 or 3 by now, but would have loved this thread to share my secret and enthusiasm. And I was so excited about the big reveal, but then my timing wasn't too good for DD (6) who was apparently having a bad day and she cried a lot instead of jumping up and down like I had anticipated. Sometimes our excitement builds up sooo much when we hold in a secret like this! Anyway, I'm happy the cats finally out of the bag, but I just wanted to offer a little support to the rest of you KOTS! Keep up the good work and share all your excitement with the rest of us, we understand completely!!!

Starting to get pumped about our trip. Our dd will be turning 6 while we are there. I don't know how much longer I can hold out, this past weekend she said that she wished that she could be at Disney for her b-day, my husband and I just stared at each other. I think we must be giving off the Disney vibe!
