Hi,

We are trying a restaurant at each of the MK resorts and can't decide which Poly rest. to try. Here is what we have so far: 1900 Park Fare at GF, Chef Mickeys at CR and Whispering Canyon at WL. Do we go with Kona or Ohana's at the Poly? All input is appreciated!
thanks!

'OHANA's DEFINATELY!! 'Ohana's is our FAVORITE WDW restaraunt!! YOu will love it!! Try to get a later seating that way you can be there when they dim the lights and pipe in the MK music while you watch the MK fireworks from across the lake!! The food is really good, and you'll love the atmosphere!!

Are you asking about dinner or breakfast? Either way I'd pick Kona although we've not had dinner at 'Ohana. Breakfast there is served family style and we did not care for the food. Breakfast at Kona is ordered from a menu and everything we've ever tried has been great. Service is great and fast. They are famous for Tonga Toast....just don't put syrup on it.:D

We've only recently discovered how good Kona is for dinner. I love the mahimahi. Lots of people love 'Ohana for dinner but it sounds like so much meat to me???

You're right BCV23...it IS a lot of meat. We went there in July (3 females & nephew who is 13) and he was the only one who really ate enough food to make it worth the price. We three females had a piece of each type of meat & were full...but that's just us.

I'd say if you are big eaters & it's dinner, 'Ohanas would be great. If it's breakfast or if you aren't big eaters, try the Kona Cafe. The Tonga Toast has quite a reputation.

I would also say Kona unless your a large eater.

I've always wanted to try 'OHANA for dinner the food was wonderful but at $127.72 for 2 adults, a 12-year old and an 8-year old who ended up have chicken fingers again. A little pricey. I sampled one piece of each meat and was so full I was uncomfortable. I am not a big eater and this was way too much meat for me. Although I did like the breakfast here.

If you will have kids with you, Ohana's, although expensive, is very fun. They play games with the kids--pushing coconuts around the restaurant with brooms, hula hoops, etc. My kids loved it and the food was delicious.

'Ohana's all the way. I think it is a good value for what you get.

Kona's food is better and the desserts are to die for. We weren't crazy about the food at O'hana's. The atmosphere is nice though...especially during the fireworks.

Kona hands down!!! It's one of the hidden gems at WDW. The food is superior to Ohana in every way!!! I didn't like Ohana, too much food for me. Also, since all of the other places you've listed are buffets or all-you-can eat, I'd try a sit-down.

Hi,

thanks so much for your input - it really helps! I was looking for a dinner place and I think we may go for Kona's since we are not huge eaters and we do have a lot of buffets already - although the kids would love the games at Ohanas -we'll see . . .

thanks again!

O'Hana's for dinner is not a buffet. I would reconsider because O'Hana's ia awesome!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc
