We are trying out all new restaurants this trip, ones that we have never been too before. My DM wants to try 1900 Park Fare and I think Kona looks good. Which is better? We are a group of 8, ages 15 on up.

Both are good. We like them both. They are different experiences. PF has characters and being buffet has something for everyone. Kona is s sit down restaurant with good food. With a group of your size you're probably better off at PF. One reason is you are more likely to be seated together (PF has some large round tables). Tables at Kona are smaller and they'll have to put 2 together for your group.

The food at PF is very good. One of the best buffets on property (IMHO).

Have fun!

ADDED-I just read some recent review, comments about PF and I'm disappointed. Seems the quality and choice of foods offered has changed. I'll be changing my ADR there. So, my choice is KONA CAFE!

Both are good choices!

Park Fare for the Character interaction and buffet.

Kona for a good sit down meal.

I guess it just depends on your preference buffet or no buffet, character or no character?

I forgot to say that this is for dinner, if that makes a difference. Thanks!

:thumbsup2 If it was me and characters aren't a must, then I would choose Kona. I felt that PF was very crowded and very noisy. If you have a lot of people in your party, you'll never hear each other over the noise, and you'll never see each other when you're all up and down going to the buffet. Kona is a smaller restaurant and a nice setting for your family to gather and spend quality time.:grouphug:

They are both good. 1900 is a normal/good Buffet.
:thumbsup2 Kona cafe has TONGA TOAST which is soooooooo Good.:thumbsup2
