Kona Island Sushi Bar

Can anyone tell me more about the sushi here? DH loves sushi and it would be fun to head over and try it. Is it sit down or is it more like counter service?

It's just a little counter service with a few stools on the one end/side, from what I recall - we didn't do sushi there, just coffee. It is a coffee bar in the morning, sushi bar in the afternoon/evening.

Edited: I don't know what kind of dining credits you can use there, though - CS I believe - the prices are too high for snack credits.

They take TS dining credits, for which you can get a sushi roll as your entree, a drink (nonalcoholic) and a dessert from Kona. They don't take CS credits.

My husband loves sushi and gets it there everytime... We eat in the Kona Cafe he gets the sushi there and I can have something else(not a fan of sushi)

My husband and I LOVE the Kona sushi bar. The food is great, and we also really love the atmosphere of the Poly main building. The food we have eaten is always really fresh, and it's a nice place to just walk up to and sit down for dinner. We plan on dining there again in about 12 days

Sushi there is very good...I definitely recommend it. It is the 2nd best sushi on property...the first being Cal Grill...their sushi rolls are fantastic!!!

Thanks -I started typing that but then I second guessed myself - wow a TS credit - that's high, although dessert could make it worth it!

We have taken Kona Island sushi back to the room - in fact that's what we plan to do in December the evening of our arrival. Sushi and mai tai's to go.

Also - Kona Island was one of Kevin Klose's "Top 10 things to eat at WDW" on the DIS Unplugged podcast this month.
