Kona Cafe????

I tend to go often, especially if there are people from out of town and I cannot get reservations somewhere else.

Often I will have a soup, the Sticky Wings Appetizer (which comes with a nice salad) as my entree, and dessert.

Another recommendation for Kona....we have eaten there a couple times now and it was great. It is open to the 'hallway' but there isn't that much traffic...most of the people on the second level are back by the lounge area of Ohana. Service and food have always been excellent.

It is our favorite place. My kids love the teriyaki steak dish. We've never had a bad meal there and eat there every trip at least once. We had our Thanksgiving dinner there last year and it was great.

I love Kona. We go there for a breakfast and dinner every trip. I've never had a bad meal there.

I have to agree, we love the Kona Cafe. We have two adrs for this November. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, they are all good. I don't find it to be very noisy at all. I love looking out at the beautiful lobby and listening to the rushing water while we eat. :thumbsup2

I love Kona, and they have the best bread at dinner. Every entree I've tried is good, and there's nothing I have eaten there that I wouldn't recommend.

We love the Kona! We make it a point to eat there at least one time on each trip (sometimes twice). We have always had a fantastic experience. :)

Love Kona - we've been there 4 or more times and each time was great. You won't be disappointed.

:thumbsup2

Kona is a stop for us every trip, The food is great and there is always great deserts. Kona is nice too because you can be in and out of there if you want to be pretty quickly. We plan our meal there around the days that MK is open late, that way we can have a great meal and be in the MK in minutes.

Highly overrated IMO. Atmosphere is like a loud crowded coffee house. Two years in a row it was the worst meal of the trip. First year the Teriyaki Steak two of us ordered were not cooked properly and the pineapple salsa was left off the top of the steaks. When we asked for it the waitress brought it out to us on top of the steaks frozen.

Last year we ordererd the Tuna Oscar, big mistake - the fried green tomatoes were as hard as hockey pucks, the tempura crab bites were all tempura, the wasabi hollandaise was obviously missing the wasabi, the tuna was tasteless but the asparagus were good.

Appetizers and desserts here are very good.

We ate there twice last trip. One night the kids were too tired to eat at our ADR and the Kona snuck us in!!! We had a nice romantic dinner while the boys watched TV in our room (they have cell phones). The food was awesome!!!

We absolutely love Kona Cafe. Besides the signature restaurants we did, Kona was the best meal we had in September. I have eaten there four times now and it has absolutely met or exceeded my expectations every time. Wonderful friendly service, and they actually know how to cook a steak to order...

Kona is one of our favorite restaurants. There is nothing bad on the menu. The desserts are wonderful! We took my DH's parent's and they loved it and there a second time on the last trip to WDW.
