Kona: breakfast or dinner

For which meal do you like Kona better? We've never been for either one.

We did both breakfast and dinner at Kona Cafe in December. Both were delicious, but I preferred dinner over breakfast. Dinner was excellent and I thought they had some different choices. Breakfast was good, but it was basic breakfast food with some "island" influence.

If you can only do one or the other, I would choose dinner.

I am torn, the food for dinner was great, the service was poor, but I think the macadamia nut pancakes will win out on this occassion. I could have them right this second.

It's has a coffee shop look and feel to it, such that it wouldn't be a spot we'd pick for dinner. I hear the actual food is good though---.

Breakfast, I agree with Uncle "R," the atmosphere doesn't fit the dinner prices.

Your poll is unfair. Ok so all I mean is that you didn't have a place to vote for both Breakfast and Dinner. I love this restaurant!!!! Breakfast is wonderfull because the food is so filling and tastes WONDERFUL! I am also for a place that had POG juice (passion fruit, orange, guava). My Dh and I really enjoyed dinner too however. From the bread to the desserts we ate every single bite that was on our plate ( I would have licked the bowl clean from the banana creme brulee, but I thought I would refrain from making a fool out of myself) You really can't go wrong chosing either meal, but check out the menus and see what you really might enjoy more.

I did that on purpose! I knew there'd be people that voted for both, and since I'm in a pickle about which one to choose, I didn't want people to torture me further by convincing me I need to rearrange everything to fit both into this trip.

On the bright side, for you voters who advocated for breakfast, we had Kona on the schedule for breakfast and dinner in October of this year, so I will get a Kona breakfast experience in the coming months!

Too bad there wasn't a way to vote for both! I voted breakfast because that way, I get to enjoy a very special server that we have come to know and love. She only works the breakfast shift.

HAHA! I got ya! Now Im just really really jelous your going in October. Its my favorite time to go and DH and I don't have a trip planned for at least 2 more years! Enjoy both of your Kona meals!
