I was also been told "no" when I asked if I could use and expired $20 Kohl's cash certificate. It was about 6 months old and I couldn't find it at the time I needed to cash it in. I threw it in my receipt drawer and came across it again just yesterday when I was throwing away unneeded receipts. I almost tossed it but decided to keep it and call Kohl's to see if there was a way I could use it. Now it's over a year old, so they'll probably say no again.
Update: I just called customer service and spoke with "John" who answered from a call center in Nicaragua. He told me that I could just do an online order and then call back give a service rep the information and they'd deduct the Kohl's cash amount from my order. I asked him if I could do this in the store instead since I live a mile away from a Kohl's and I don't want to pay shipping. He said each store makes their own rules, but that if I ordered online, they'd take off the shipping.
I'm not sure I believe they'll do what he is saying. When I asked him for his name and ID # he said he didn't have an ID# and his name was John. Then he said to just call back and ask for him & he'd take care of it. Okay, so I'm really going to reach him again in Nicargua? Hmmm... I'm not sure I would even want to give him my credit card info! Not sure what to do now...
Nicargua! wow! Thats the first time I heard of a company working from there. I think I mostly get India most of the time! I cant believe all of these US companies have CS reps out of the US! No wonder why our economy keeps going down! How can these people work for them, if they dont even have a store in their country? How can they know whats what?? I think the only time I heard "Nicaragua" was while i was watching Beavis and Butthead about 10 years ago! LOL
