I like the one by Universal best, even though I live practically right across the street from the one on 192 (Celebration). But my favorite teppan restaurant is actually one that is on Orange Blossom Trail just off 417. You make a left onto OBT, heading towards the mall. There will be a Publix on your right with a Blockbuster on the corner of the strip mall. The restauarant is right around the corner from the Blockbuster. Really reasonable prices and GOOD GOOD food.

We've eaten at the one by Celebration a few times and it's always been good. We usually upgrade to the filet steak with shrimp or lobster and it's always been worth paying the extra.

Thanks so much ! WOuld it be appropriate for children - 2 boys aged 10 and 12. Very well behaved and great at restaurants ? We are thinking of Teppen Edo - but it's so hard to get into.

I am googling around to see if I can get a menu. Thanks again !

It's a great place for kids! There are always a lot there, and the chefs do tricks and make fire which keeps them amused. I found their website but it doesn't look like it's up to date (I don't think they're open for lunch anymore): http://www.takaraorlando.com/

They have certain specials and a kids menu so it's probably the most reasonable Japanese steakhouse I've been to around here.

Oh noooooooo! I have feared that they would close because they are rarely crowded when we've been there, even on weekends. I will try to call them tonight and post a report if anyone answers. Our neighbors were planning to go there over the next couple weeks too. We were there a couple of weeks ago and they were still open. But they're in an awful spot (around the corner of the strip mall) where no one just passing by would see them.

The location on the Palm Parkway is the best, hands down. But they are all good.
