Monday, 5/2, we slept in again. We have the sleepinest children. Bo Bo was in bed by 9:30 (21:30) and nearly slept the clock around. He woke up at 9:00. We all went down then to the Shades of Green buffet place for breakfast. It wasn't bad, but it was nothing to write about. Knucklehead decided he wanted to drive the rc boats that were outside half way through breakfast. Grandpa took him out there while the rest of us finished eating.

Since we were going to do EPCOT in the afternoon before and after dinner, we decided that this was a perfect day for Blizzard Beach. Only problem, it wasn't sunny enough for DW, Bo Bo, and Grandma. They went to MK instead. Knucklehead, Grandpa and I drove over to BB. Grandpa hung out and took some pictures while Knucklehead and I tackled the slides. First we did Teamboat Springs (our favorite), then the Toboggan Racers (I won, I had a few pounds on my opponents),

Snow Stormers, Runoff Rapids, the Wave Pool, and Teamboat Springs again before we left. We had to leave because DW called Grandpa's cell phone to find out how much longer we'd be, and to let us know that they were going over to the Kona Cafe for lunch. Kona is about my favorite restaurant next to Artist Point, so I got on the phone and told them to wait for us (plus I had the DDE card).

Over at the Polynesian, we had no trouble getting through the gate.
"Have you been here before?"
"Sure have."
"Then you know where to park."
"Yep," well, not exactly. We were heading towards the exit before we realized we missed the self parking.

We sat down with most of the others, Bo Bo was asleep in his stroller. Knucklehead began to shiver. We weren't completely dry. DW went over to the gift shop and bought a nice beach towel and wrapped up Knucklehead.
Lunch was excellent as usual. DW and Grandpa had Kahuna Burgers, Grandma had the Chicken Caesar Salad, and I had grilled tuna (I think, I shoulda kept notes. Whatever it was, it weren't a sandwich, and it was good.)
Back at the hotel, I called over to the AKL to see if my package finally arrived. It was there! They were just about to send it to "Central" since I was no longer staying there. So much for "notes in the computer." I drove over to the AKL while the others rested. I don't leave home without my Leatherman, so I put the plate on there in the loading/unloading area of the AKL.

Quick comment on Disney security. Throughout our stay we went in and out of many different resorts. Some of the "gate keepers" asked for ID, and some just waved us through even though the paper on the dash was for SOG. But the thing that really stuck in my craw was at the AKL. I pulled up and told the guy there that I was going to run in and pick up a package at the front desk. I was the only vehicle there and I parked way over to the left out of the way. If the entire cast of Survivor were to pull up in individual cars, I would still have been out of the way. So the guy I realize now that I shouldn't have even talked to says, "We need you to leave your keys with the valet desk, just in case."

Anyway, I got the plate on and felt legal again. I drove back to SOG and rounded up the gang. We walked over to the TTC and caught the EPCOT monorail. We had a 6:55 PS for the Biergarten (DW's least favorite food). We stopped and rented a stroller for Knucklehead and then we all rode Spaceship Earth before heading off to Germany. I think I was the only one who really enjoyed the food. I never met a bratwurst I didn't like. Couple of beers helped. Everyone enjoyed the entertainment, especially Bo Bo.

After dinner we strolled around, checked out the trains, and Knucklehead reminded me that he still wanted a marionette from China. He talked about these for a year. He would correct me when I called them puppets. So the two of us strolled back to China while the others ambled towards Italy. After acquiring a red dragon, we backtracked back to Italy, no family, through America, wait is that Sam Adams? Pit stop.:drinking1 Wait, that song sounds familiar. Who is that on stage? Why, it's the Turtles. I stood there for a little while and enjoyed my beverage while the Turtles played "Elenore" and Knucklehead tried to untangle his puppet.
That guy walking towards us looks familiar.
"Hey Grandpa."

The others had found a bench in Japan to sit on and watch Illuminations. DW found some popcorn, and everyone was just swell. Until the fireworks started. I grabbed Bo Bo and went up into Japan. I stood there in the courtyard and watched the fireworks while covering Bo Bo's ears. He clapped and clapped when it was over.

We took our time leaving. When we reached the monorail, I asked if anyone was riding up front on the next one. We were in luck. We let the Grandparents ride up front with the kids since they can only take 4 up there, and DW and I already have our Co-pilot Licenses. :teeth:

Well, they lucked out. MK did the SpectroMagic Parade that night, so while we were on the monorail, Wishes was going on. They got to see two fireworks shows in one night. :wizard:

so a few sleep ins happened to us too..........hope you have a good time at BB....We love the water parks
