A good friend of mine, a girl I grew up with, is going to DisneyWorld with her family in a couple of weeks.

She is a wonderful friend and has helped me a lot with planning my own family's trip that is coming up in November. I want to send a fruit basket to her resort room.

I received information from the Walt Disney World Florist in the mail with my resort reservation info, but their products don't seem to give much bang for the buck.

Have any of you used a florist or perhaps produce seller in the Orlando area that you would recommend? Is there such a service affiliated with this website, maybe?

A few years ago I received a fruit basket from housekeeping because I wasn't feeling well. I'm assuming it came from the WDW florist. It was very nice, filled with all different fruits, candy and crackers.

The leaflet I received didn't impress me much.

It looked like a lot of money for not a lot of fruit.

I got a fruit basket from the WDW florist a couple years ago, it was very nice, and the price was on par with any national florist (FTD, teleflorist, 800-FLOWERS, etc.)

It's stuffed all the way down.

I haven't received the basket yet, but I'm currently working with pixiegifts.com to create an anniversary basket. Every basket is personalised, the prices are fair and the people are so nice to work with!

hi - we used the wdw florist - and it was great -

my brother and his wife were going on their honeymoon - we had originally planned to go in oct 2001 as a large group - but because of 09/11 & my government job i had to cancell - and then also because of 09/11 my mother had a heart attack & had to have surgery - so now there were five us postponing our trip - so my brother & sister-in-law decided to also postpone their trip and use the credits for their honeymoon but had asked us all to go with them and reschedule everyone for that week - anyway my mother had to have more surgery so we cancelled again & my brother & sister-in-law were upset - so to make a long story short - we wanted to do something special for them and called wdw to find out how to send a bottle of champagne to their room - well we got the wdw florist and had ordered a champagne & fruit basket - now my brother is a florist and he was very impressed with the basket - so i would definately recommend calling the resort and asking for the wdw florist and using them - my sister-in-law said that even though we all couldn't be together - just looking at the basket made the trip even more special because we were thinking of them on their honeymoon

What I liked about WDW Florist is that my gift was waiting in the room when my friend got there. I don't know if they guarantee this or not.

I have used the Disney Florist everytime I have booked clients there and I have had no problems. The clients always came back raving about their baskets. What they show you on their little flyer sent to you are their specials, which include the tax. Call the Disney Florist 1-877-608-0066 and if you have a fax, they can fax you a more detailed order brochure.

There is no website. They will fax you the pictures of all the items or they will talk to you over the phone to design the basket.

I just had two baskets delivered about two weeks ago and since they were going to the same hotel, they even waived the delivery charge, which was kind of nice. They send a little brochure out, when you book via the WDW Travel Company, which are specials. Try going to the cruise line site and they have some examples there of the items offered via the Disney Florist.

Hope this helped.:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

hey howdy hey,

my fiancee prefers balloons to flowers, can the Disney Florist put together a Disney balloon package? Or should I call 'guest services' at the hotel?

I am pretty sure they can do the balloons. We have had some unique decorations delivered to our room for christmas, including a fully decorated tree.

We had Cindy at pixie gifts send a basket with fruits and snacks to friends staying at the Wilderness Lodge Villa's.

She doesn't have them on her website (I don't think) but she will make up just about anything you wish
