I posted on the hotel board but they don't seem to be as well-frequented as this one. My Girl Scout troop will be going through the area and are going to volunteer at Give Kids the World. We'll need to stay at a hotel that night so I'm looking for a reasonably priced, clean hotel to stay at. Does anyone know of one in the area of GKTW?

Someone asked on the Wish Trippers thread just a few days ago. There were some answers regarding villas, but this was the only answer about hotels:

Call GKTW as there are a ton of hotels in the vicinity. One lady that came to GKTW everyday that week with her Alumni grandchild stayed at a hotel down the road that was $30 a night with a free breakfast. Her grandchild had a wish at age 6 and is now 18, and everytime she visits her grandmother, they stay close to GKTW and take part in the evening parties. The grandmother lives about 2 hours from GKTW so that is why they get a hotel. You didn't need all of that info but there ya go:lmao:

Hope you find a great deal. Thank you for volunteering at GKTW. :)

Go over to the disABILITIES! Forum. One of the stickies has to do with Wish Trips and there is a lot of information in that thread related to GKTW.

I would give GKTW a call. I'm sure they will be more than happy to give you the names of a few hotels close by that would be clean and safe for your girls.

My DS20 volunteered through his HS his senior year Nd they stayed in WDW. ASsp.

They have preferred hotels that offer volunteers a discount. Call them up! My group stayed at a 5 bedroom in windsor hills instead so we could cook, do laundry, and relax. It was great.
