I have been trying to find a touring plan or at least an idea of which rides are slowest loading/ or have the most breakdowns at KBF. Last time we went (5 years ago) we did great in the morning (multiple rides on Xcelerator and Supreme Scream) but then waited in line for Ghost rider for over an hour.
How do you tour KBF?

didnt know knotts had tours. but we usually go for halloween haunt..knotts scary farm. Ghost rider is last on our list. it seems line is shortest before closing time. you can get on and get off. same with montezumas revenge.

We got there before opening (it opens at 10, we got there maybe 15 min early and were 6th in line) and headed straight for Silver Bullet, then did everything else whenever we came across it. They were only open til 6 and DH was able to ride everything and some rides twice.

When we went last May, not all of the coasters (and not all of the park) opened at 10 - the rest opened 1-2 hours later. I stupidly walked by the wooden coaster that goes over the parking lot (forgot the name of it) and tried to head towards the Xcelerator, only to find that part of the park wasn't open yet, so then I headed back to the (long) line for the open coaster. So, pay attention to the map/times guide...

After our visit I can say starshines is correct. The day we were there the gates opened at 9:30 but only for Ghostrider. 10:00 AM the rest of the park opened. We did Ghostrider 1st-
We then went to Silverbullet.
Then we went to Xcelerator which was supposed to be open but never did. (Perilous Plunge was closed as well)
Supreme Scream
Boomerang
Log ride (because splash mountain was closed...if you have a good imagination you can almost see brer rabbit)
Pony Express (why didn't they make this longer!)
Bigfoot rapids
Jaguar
Montezuma's revenge
Then late lunch at Mrs. Knotts.
When we went back the lines were pretty long so we just wandered around ghost town for awhile and left.
Overall I was a little disappointed with Knotts. It was dirty and in need of help. The coasters are great but it sure isnt what it used to be.:guilty:
