My DH gave me $$ towards a KitchenAid stand mixer for Mother's Day. :woohoo: I've been asking for this ever since we've been married (almost 14 yrs!!!) I would like the Pro 600 in dark pewter, but I want to get the best deal. It seems JCPenney may have the best price, but I'm not sure! :upsidedow

I tried a couple of promo codes at a "mock checkout" but none seemed to work. I guess they're not eligible on small appliances. :headache: Also, is the shipping not free if you have it sent to the store?? It kept charging me for shipping. :confused3 TIA for any advice...I want to get it as cheap as possible--without purchasing a refurb! ;)

Check out QVC--I know they have alot of colors, some exclusive to QVC, also extra attachments that you have to purchase extra in other stores. I've never had one and probably won't, I just don't cook that much and hardly ever bake. But I watch QVC alot and see them on air alot. Sometimes you can get free shipping and easy pay, another bonus!

I got an awesome deal on a refurb one on amazon a few years ago - I think you should check them out there!

I found it for $344.99 thru Pricegrabber.com. It shows that there are 4 different retailers. You could check shopzilla.com too

I bought my Kitchen Aid mixer on Dec 24, 1996 at the Macys in Paramus NJ. I remember because I was having family over for Christmas and needed it. It still works like the day I bought it and I use it A LOT. :goodvibes Good luck finding a good price.

If you sren't in a hurry I look for an item like this to show up on a slickdeals.net listing. You can even be notified by e-mail when a posting with the word Kitchen aid comes up.... I bought mine on Amazon years ago.

I bought one of the Pro 600 through Kohl's a couple months ago for $300 (with a $40 rebate). They usually have really good sales with coupons up to an extra 30% off with a Kohl's card.

I bought a 600 series refurb through shopkitchenaid - after cashback and a code, I got it for $175 or so. They have a 6 month warranty. They are $239 on there right now. 6% cashback is available through many sites. I do not see any current codes though :(

I have the Kitchen Aid Pro 600 in Dark Pewter and LOVE it! I got mine through Cooking.com about 6 years ago after a lot of research, and because I could use some gift certificates I received. They do not seem to be the cheapest now.

Good luck on finding a great deal!

Wow...thank you EVERYONE!!! :flower3: I really appreciate all the input. I'm going to check out all the sites that y'all mentioned.

I hope you find one. DH bought me the pink one for Chrsitmas and I love it.

I always notice that Kohls has them on sale. I got mine there a few years ago and I believe it was around $125 in discount.

Online or in the store? Online it's showing up as $499. I tried to go through a "mock check-out" yesterday to see if my discount codes worked, but it wanted me to enter my debit card before it would apply the discount!!!! :confused3 I wasn't going to do that!

I think I may actually have an hour or two tomorrow to shop around & see what I can find. :woohoo: (Am I the only one who seems to have baseball practice, baseball games, voice lessons, class parties, class field trips, church, & TONS of other things going on right now???) :rotfl: I'll let you know if I find anything tomorrow. Thanks again everyone for all the advice!

We don't have a Kohl's card, so I guess this won't work!! :sad1:

Has anyone ordered from "Everyday Kitchens"??? They had some pretty nasty reviews a couple of years ago. Their newer reviews are better.

Everyday Kitchens total is: $358
They have free shipping/no tax
* In that price I added a $10 pasta roller/cutter attachment
*There's also a rebate for a free ice cream maker attachment (available at ALL the retailers)

If you know of this site...is this for a NEW mixer? I'd rather not be a refurb. Thanks!

I have had two Kitchen Aid mixers. The first one did NOT tilt back, it had a lever to lift the top assemby - I didn't like it because in order to remove the beater you had to drop it back down into the batter to remove it. The next one I bought DID tilt and I like it a whole lot better. :)

I just have to throw in my 2 cents here.

I live in OHio and toured the Kitchenaid plant last year. What they told us on the tour is some refurbished mixers are actually brand new! Any time a mixer is returned to a store, it goes back to the factory no matter what the reason. Say a bride got duplicates at a wedding....back to the factory, checked, repackaged and marked refurbished.

You may want to consider a refurb....

My 2cents.

I got my Kitchen Aid 13 years ago as a house warming present and I LOVE my mixer. I wish it would breakdown so I could get another bigger one with color! he he

Okay, I have the pasta attachments. Mine needs the food grinder to make the pasta attachments work, just so you realize you might need to check what is needed.

I would highly reccomend buying an additional bowl. I love that I have two bowls. I can make the cake batter, then make the frosting. If I could buy another paddle I would, then I wouldn't need to wash that too.

I would also reccomend the cover for the bowl, sometimes you want to chill a cookie dough.

I live in NE Ohio and when I bought mine, we made the excursion across the state and saved about 40% on my mixer and managed to use my savings to acquire a new blender at the same time! :yay:

owner of an amazon refurb here too. great buy! My 26 year old Hobart finally died and I bought the Prof 6 to replace it. I wouldn't have any other mixer!!! EVER.
