Kitchen Sink after Illuminations & Other ?'s

I'm intrigued by the whole idea of the Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream & think my kids would find it so cool - although, we could probably never eat all of it!

My questions - -

1. I was thinking it might be a fun thing to try after Illuminations. Is it terribly crowded after Illumininations? Would it be more crowded w/ it being Father's Day (which is the day we have scheduled to see Illuminiations)?

2. I was also thinking that, after Illuminations, we could leave EPCOT through the International Gateway & then ride the resort boat to the Beach Club. Does this make sense? Where is Beaches & Cream in relation to where the resort boat would dock?

W/ that in mind, when we were through eating at Beaches & Cream, would we be able to get on a bus going back to MK? (We're staying in a cabin at FW, so I'm thinking the easiest way to get back would be to take a bus to MK & then the resort boat back to FW.) If it makes any difference, it's would be the evening EMH at MK. In relation to Beaches & Cream, where would we find the bus station? (I've never been to the Beach Club.)

3. My DS has a slight allergy to peanuts. Can we ask that our Kitchen Sink have no nuts?

4. And, finally, just out of curiosity, how is the Kitchen Sink served? Silly question, maybe, but I thought I'd read somewhere that it came to the table in a sink? Really?

Thanks!! :)

Hi Wendy,

I can answer some of your questions:

1) B&C is EXTREMELY crowded right after Illuminations. Father's Day or not, be prepared to wait....and wait....and wait....

2) You're right about exiting via the IG, but from the exit it is a short (5-10 minute) walk to B&C. Also, if the MK is still open that night, you can get a bus at the BC back to the MK. You'll have to come out of B&C, go into the Beach Club lobby, and walk through the lobby and out the other side to where the bus stops are.(It's easier than it sounds). But if it were me, I'd take a taxi back. It will probably save you at least half an hour.

Enjoy,

Bob

The dish is shaped like a sink.

You can certainly ask to have the peanuts left off, although I don't know that I would be comfortable at Ghiradelli's or B&C with a child with peanut allergies. Their are peanuts all over the place at these resturants and both of them have communal open prep areas.

We waited 20 minutes for a table at 3:00 in the afternoon - well after lunch rush, well before dinner rush. Expect B&C to be very crowded after Illuminations.

Could someone describe whats in the kitchen sink, were staying a few nights at the beach club and would love to get one for our family to share.Thank :grouphug: you!!!!!

Just to reiterate.... Beaches and Creme is very crowed after Illuminations and it is very small.

It is easier and quicker just to walk the 5 min walk to Beaches and Cream.

You can only get the bus to Magic Kingdom if the MK is open later than you leave Beach Club other wise you have to take a taxi.

:)

We'll be there that exact same day and intend to do Illuminations that night as well. I'm actually aiming for the Illuminations Cruise for that night (although I'll adjust my plans if I can get it any night of our vacation). If we get that, I thought we might try B & C before heading for the boat dock.

Father's Day is also DH's birthday, and his gift this year is the DiveQuest adventure. So if you happen to be at the Living Seas at about 5:00 p.m., watch out for me and my family--we'll be the squealers running around the aquarium tank waving frantically to the divers! :jumping1:
