Kitchen faucet question...

We need to buy a new kitchen faucet.
I can't decide if I should buy one with a seperate sprayer, or one that has the pull out faucet that doubles as a sprayer.

Anyone have an opinion on which kind is better?

Do you love yours, and can you tell me what brand it is?

I also want one that has a powerful water stream!

Does the brushed silver look OK with a normal stainless steel sink, because I haven't see any brushed silver sinks, so I am assuming they must look good together, since they are so popular.

Hi! I have a Moen gooseneck kitchen faucet with a seperate sprayer. I really like it...looks old fashioned.

I have a Kohler faucet that is one piece and I love it. It doesn't have a powerful water stream though, but I thought that was because of the water pressure.

Hubby is convinced we should get Moen, just for the quality of the name.

The one I like is Eurostream, anyone familiar with that name?

Right now we have the seperate sprayer, and when you use it, there is barely any pressure, because the faucet stays on at the same time. Weird!

Anybody else have any input?

I love my pull out sprayer. Makes it easy to get the sink rinsed and gets in hard to reach items (deep pans, etc).

I'm in the market for a kitchen faucet right now myself and considered the one-piece designs. It seems like the display models have been played with so much that the sprayer no longer fits back into the faucet correctly...so I am much more inclined to buy a separate sprayer.

By the way, the prices on Ebay seem to be 1/2 to 2/3 as expensive as in the large home improvement stores. I know I've sortof been on the kick lately, but the prices are great.

We just installed a new sink and faucet along with new counter tops. We looked at both the types of faucets, and we liked the one with the seperate sprayer best. We couldn't really find one with the pull out sprayer/faucet that we liked, there are not as many choices.
Ours is a pricefister (SP?) and love it. It is the same one we put in our old house and loved it so much we bought the same one for this one.
It is also a brushed silver with stainless sink. They look very nice together.

I have a gooseneck with the sprayer attached to the faucet. LOVE IT! I had the seperates before & the water pressure is not a good when you SPRAY. I forget the brand but it has a white button with red & blue on it (very small.)

I've got a Moen Extensa. I'm very happy with it. We could have chosen any number of fixtures from our builder, this was his "builder grade" and it was just fine for me. But when it comes to kitchen and bath, I'm pretty traditional rather than trendy...

That's the color of ours to match our sink, it comes in about eight different colors/finishes.

It's got plenty of spraying power. One thing I like about it is when you pull out the sprayer you can use it with a fast, hard "spray" or with the water coming out like it does regulary out of the faucet--which is great when you're doing something you don't want to "spray" but just want to be able to bring the faucet cloer to.

I also like that the water control arm can be easily turned on and off or adjusted with the back of your hand, so if you've got some blech all over your hands you wo'nt get it all over the fixture as well before you wash them.

I have this one too and it is ok. I prefer a separate sprayer but this one was in the house when we bought it. We don't have a problem with it not fitting back correctly and it has been in use for about 10 years or so. The amount of spray you have really depends on the water pressure in your home more so then the faucet. We don't have great pressure but this faucet works ok. If we had better pressure, this faucet would be a powerhouse sprayer.

We have a gooseneck faucet with separate sprayer. I love the gooseneck because it makes it easy to get our pasta sauce pan under there for cleaning. We cook sauce in a lobster pot. My husband is Italian so sauce cooking is a big deal and we need a big enough pot to include all of those meatballs and sausages.
I think it's important to consider the largest thing you put in your sink for cleaning to make sure the faucet works with it.

The "White one" comes in stainless as well.
