When you see a sign up thread for an exchange, you read about it, and if you are interested in joining in, pm the exchange organizer your info. When the sign up is over, the organizer will send you someone else's info. and you will send them what the exchange is asking for. When you have sent and recieved your exchange, you would post it on the sent/recieved thread that is posted for that particular exchange.
