Hello

How far is Sanford airport from Kissimmee, taking into account ive never been and we have hired a car.

we are staying at Gand Palm Appartment (condo) - has anyone stopped at these appartments, if so please let us know your thoughts

It will take you 45-60 minutes on the 417 Central Florida Greeneway which is a quiet, open toll road. I'm not sure quite how much you'll need as we haven't done this particular journey for a while. I would take $5 in $1 bills to be on the safe side.

I haven't stayed at Grand Palms, but am I right in saying it's off Lindfields Boulevard? If so, I suggest you leave the 417 at exit 3 and join the Osceola Parkway (west). Follow it through WDW property and head towards Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge. As you approach AK, take the left hand lanes signposted AKL and turn left at the lights. You will now be on the Sherberth Road which you need to follow for a mile or so until you hit the US192. Turn right and Lindfields Boulevard is about a mile on the left. This way you'll miss the busier part of the 192.

There are six toll booths down to I4 and I reckon it was $5 last time went went that way (but you would come off before the last one at Celebration so that'll save you 50c!).

It doesn't seem to have changed for years, but I could be wrong.

Hey, thanks for the tip. We're also staying in that area and I would normally take exit 2 to join the 192 but as you say it's pretty busy at that point. On an earlier thread I was told to use Sherbeth Road as a short cut to Disney from Splendid China area but I hadn't thought of using it via Osceola Parkway from the 417. Thanks again.
