I don't know which forum to ask this on, so I'm going to start here. We are thinking of buying a home in the Disney area. Something that we can rent to get some income and pay it off faster and then possibly move there in about 10-15 years. We know about Emerald Island and Wyndham Hills areas. Does anyone know how the Lindfields area is? Also if anyone has any other recommendations we would be open. We are also considering out by rt 27.

To continue, the Highgrove homes/villas have three or four bedrooms and the garage is converted to a game room with pool table, foosball, and air hockey. It's a nice gated community with a clubhouse and pool and all the homes have a Mediterranean look w/tiled roofs.

The only drawback on the two-story homes is that all the bedrooms are upstairs.

Try looking at areas via vrbo.com and check the Clermont and Davenport areas.

We just moved here in June & are currently renting at Legacy Dunes (192/27). Its a great complex - 2 pools, basketball, tennis, club house, game room, gated entrance, etc. We are renting a 4BR & since our house just sold in MN I'll decide what to do when our lease is up. I think its 1/2 owners & 1/2vacationers....So far we love it & its only 4 miles from DISNEY!

I assume when you say "Wyndham Hills" you mean "Windsor Hills". Windsor hills is by far and away the most popular short term rental resort near Disney, followed closely by Emerald Island. Reunion is vast and pretty luxurious but perhaps not great as a rental home (for various reasons). Think Paradise Palms is new and contains 5 and 6 bedroom homes.

My son has lived in a home in Lindsfield for about 7 years. Homes were built in 90s. They are close together on narrow streets so parking is tight if you have friends over or more than 2 cars.
They do allow short term rentals so there is a mixture of short term, long term, and home owners that live there.
It has been a quiet safe area and residents are not afraid to walk pets late at night.
But..... when he started moving things out of his house to move this month, someone decided he didn't need the plants he had planted in his yard and started stealing his plants and lights he had put in the gardens.
and....
Have to say though that earlier this year they did drain the pond/canal out behind his house looking for the body of a missing woman who lived up the street from him. I don't think it was a murder investigation, though.

Lennar is building brand new rental Homes in champions gate, we just went thru the models, very nice!
