kiosk activation of Universal 5 day pass (at night when parks closed)

I will be arriving in Orlando in the evening and plan to go to City Walk for dinner.

Can I activate my 5 day pass after 7pm ( when the parks have closed) at a kiosk and not lose a day since I won't go to the parks until the next day when they re-open?

Or will it count the day I activate them even if the parks are closed as a day used?

where can I ask this at City Walk when I arrive if I am still leary of activation?

You obtain them at the kiosk. They are not activated until you go through to turnstile. We picked up several 2 years ago at the kiosk, but never used them (long story). Because they were never "activated" they are still good until we go through the turnstiles.

Now, the question is, will the kiosks be available late night when the parks are closed - I do not know. If I had to guess, I would say no, because there will be no staff around to help you if you have problems.

I would wait until the morning and use the kiosk before you enter the park. Usually, no one uses the kiosks and there is no line.

One more thought. You can obtain them at 7pm - even though the parks are closed there will still plenty of people to help you out if you need it. If you go at 1am, that is a different story.

Again, they are not activated until you enter the turnstile going into the parks.

I would totally agree with that. I would not like to spend that kind of $$$ and have something happen if no one is around to help.
