I'm thinking about going to Kings Island over 4th of July weekend. How is this park? I have a 4 yo and 11 yo. Any nice hotels nearby?

Not too sure of what hotels are nearby but there should be plenty a bit south of there (around the I-71/I-275 area).

Kings Island, itself, could probably fill two days' of fun if you wanted to do everything. I haven't been in a few years but plan on going in a couple of weeks w/my daughter to check out all the Nickelodeon stuff.

But, be careful on Son of Beast. A friend of mine hurt her back on it a couple of weekends ago.

There is kings island Inn and alot of other hotels in that area really close.

I hear that alot of Son of Beast. What is it that makes this ride so tough?

It is a wooden roller-coaster. You go upside-down once. It is very rough/jerky. It isn't a smooth ride.

It will probably be very, very crowded that weekend.

Any good times to go with low crowds? We were thinkin anout going the 2,3 of July that would be a Sun, Mon. But maybe we should go some other time this summer.

It is best to go on a week day. Saturday's, Sunday's and holidays are always very crowded.
