I have to agree here. I initially liked the name and didn't even think of any religious connotation until it was mentioned here. Of course I know of "Kingdom Hall" and the other religious references but that's really reading into this a whole lot, IMHO. What about the "Keys to the Kingdom"? Does that bother people as well? It's Kingdom Tower....the property that overlooks the Magic Kingdom. It's taking much offense into something that has absolutely no religious affiliation.
I agree with you as well. I saw no religious connotation in the name until people in this thread mentioned it. I just saw the name coming from the fact that it is in close proximity to the MK. To me kingdom has more of a political connection than a religious one. When I hear the word "kingdom", I immediately associate it with "castle" and "monarchy", not "religion". But to each his own I guess. Someone mentioned that perhaps they will build a second tower and call that one "Magic Tower", but I would think it would make more sense to name this one "Magic Tower" and the second one "Kingdom Tower". I personally don't care for the name myself, though. When I first read it I thought to myself, 'All of the creative people that work for Disney and the best name they could come up with is Kingdom Tower?!'
