Look at you, Jen with the cute little Tink signature!
So, DH and I went out last night to a concert in AC. Friends of ours were supposed to go with us (it was their idea) but they ended up not being able to go. So we went and had a great time. We first went to the Library (it's a restaurant) for dinner. It's one of my favorite places to go. Their salad bar is out of this world (and I got 1,000 island since it was a cheat meal
) and had prime rib with my 2 glasses of sangria. YUMMMMM!
Then we went over to Trump Marina and saw Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. It was standing room only (except for a few VIP booths) and it was great! We were about 3 people back from the stage. Great music, and there were some people dressed in their pimped out best (if you don't know - BBVD is swing music). It really was a lot of fun! We hung out for about 15 minutes after the show & the band came out to sign autographs. We got our friends' ticket signed and bought a poster & got that signed. Fun time!
I went running today to do my 20 minute straight run. I did a warm up walk for 1 minute in my driveway (walked back a forth a couple times
) then set out to go around the block. I ran the whole time because I didn't want to check my watch & be thinking about the time. I ran the 2.2 miles in 22 minutes! I was so excited! I felt really good. I got a little winded about 1/2 way through, but then a good song came on and I concentrated on that more than my breathing and the next time I thought about it I was breathing pretty normally again. My left calf muscle hurt a little bit at the end, but I'm thinking that might have been because my calves were really tight after standing for 1.5 hours last night at the show.
I go back to intervals for my next 2 runs this week, then 25 mins straight on my 3rd run. Then only straight running until I build up to 30 minutes.
I really can't believe I made it all the way around the block today without walking...and I felt good doing it. It truly is amazing what can happen in a few short months. Thanks to you all for helping me along the way. I really appreciate each and every one of you!

I'm going to start calling you Speedy Kim!!! Can you loan me some of that "fast"....'cause my runs have been a bit sluggish the last few weeks since the race.

that she gets back to eating....35 pounds is a lot for a short amount of time.
) And I'm sure I'll set up a group of my own on his!! But for now I just deleted the slow songs. I am getting a little tired of the same songs (I think I have 80 or so on there, but it seems to play the same ones over & over). Thanks again for your encouragement and for stopping by!
Thanks for the quick drive-by.
). Here's what my intervals were (I was able to stick to the plan):
