Well, ticket prices increased a day earlier than expected. You can still get them at the old price though.

In terms of your question, it's not something I've thought about. I won't be travelling during the child ticket promotion period.

The problem with the child ticket promotion in general is that the base ticket is only valid Mon-Thurs and is one park per day. If you add park hopper plus LLMP plus the Fri-Sun add on, it starts to creep close to the regular ticket price. Also, I typically buy either 4 or 5 day tickets, so the ticket deal is limiting in that regard.

It very well might be worth it for you to buy adult tickets now (some vendors have them at child prices as a promotion) and then buy child tickets later via the ticket deal. You just need to do the math based on what you're wanting to do and when you're wanting to go. If you are okay with one park per day and weekdays, it is absolutely a great deal!

You can still get the tickets at the old price probably the rest of this week. You have to go to one of the authorized resellers' websites. There's at least three many of us on here frequently use. We can't list names because it's against rules, but I'm sure you can find them by running a search on the DL forum.

I don't think it is against the rules to add you can also still buy them at the old price at Target as of a few minutes ago. I bought mine using my Red Card this morning at the old price.

Question for folks does it make any difference to buy the LL pass in advance or to do it day by day? Can you buy it separately in advance? I'm not sure we would want to pay for it on our one our partial days.

I think it might be a couple dollars more if you don’t buy in advance (potentially due to demand/surge pricing). I think a lot of people recommend not buying in advance if you have a 3+ day trip, so you can get a feel for if you like it or need it the whole time. Just what I’ve gathered from my research, also visiting in March!

The base price for LLMP went from $30 per person per day to $32. Yes, it also is subject to surge pricing day of. If you don't get it in advance, you'll be paying at least $32 per person for the days you get it. Just run the numbers and see how much you're saving by not prepaying at $30.

My mistake, I stand corrected! It looks like the tickets are valid any day during the promotion period.

I made the mistake of assuming it was only weekdays. That's what it was historically. Thank you for the correction.

I would be surprised if previous kid tickets didn’t have that restriction as that’s a normal restriction for all multi day tickets.

Yes, that's correct! I just found an old article to double check. The tickets just had to be used within the promotional period.

Just reporting back that we were able to book the kids special tickets and a room for late January with the new Visa cardholder discount today. In all, we saved about $600 compared to yesterday's prices. Thank you, Disney community!

The 25% hotel deal for the same time period also started today. I was surprised that this saved me more over the Visa discount for the same dates (possibly because I saw that one first and booked in the early morning vs. checking with the Visa discount this evening).

Overall all saved me a good chunk on the Grand Californian (although not nearly as much as I'd like). Pixar Pier was running higher under both deals than what I had previously booked a few weeks ago.

These are never listed on the discounts page. You either have to click on the link from a promotional email (I got one today as Disney Visa cardholder) or I have had success finding them when I search for Disney Visa discount (and wade through lots of expired promos).
