kids meals an age

I just made a reservation for our upcoming trip and they asked me my kids ages. I ask why they were asking and they said because of the kids meals. My question is my dd is a tiny diabetic and we need to order her food off the kids menu to count her food for insulin coverage. Do you think this will be a problem at our sit down meals?

If the sit down meal is order off a menu, then you won't have a problem. If its a buffet you will be paying the adult price if shes 10 or older.

I am totally cool with paying the adult price for the buffet. I was just worried about non-buffet ts because she will not be able to eat the more adult food.

You will be absolutely fine. My aunt had gastric bypass surgery and every restaurant we ate at, allowed her to eat off the kid's menu and the buffets only charged her for the child's price (I'm sure this was ONLY because of her condition). The waitress told us that many adults choose to order off the kid's menu for one reason or another.

My DS is 13 and still has not developed adult preferences for food - and always prefers the old mac and cheese or chicken tenders on the kid's menu. Not one waiter has questioned us about this and they continue to serve him from the kid's menu. I'm fully prepared to pay more for a larger kid's portion if they should say something - but to date, no one seems to mind at all.

I'm glad to hear this as well. Our last trip in January we did the DDP(never again) and our two girls had way too much food having to order from the adult menu. This trip coming up we are taking DD13s best friend, also not that big of an eater. I was especially worried about Sci Fi, they can't eat a whole adult burger there! Glad to know that the kids menus will still be available.
