We are taking the kids on there first trip to disney my husband and I have been there manytimes. My eldest is 20 and the youngest are 3 year old twins. We are going in october and I was wondering we are celebrating their first trip and the twin's Bday there they will have pins and for their first visit and the bday. Now my question is when they walk around the parks or in a restaurant what excatly do they get do characters say anything to them when they go in shops etc?? Just curious on what to expect ..

I took my oldest to Disney for her 9th birthday (she's 14 now). But we went in October too. It was during the Food and Wine Festival and most of the booths gave my daughter something small off their menu because it was her birthday. In TS restaurants she usually got a cupcake. 50's Prime Time was fun. They had everyone in our room sign a card for her and sing her Happy Birthday. Some of the CS restaurants let her pick a cookie or rice krispie treat. One day when we came back from the parks, there was a birthday card from Minnie Mouse and a ton of towel animals. I know none of these things are guaranteed, but I think Disney does a great job of making the birthday kids feel special. HTH
