They really do - just reading the story and seeing the pics gave me the heebie jeebies and I didn't even see the tooth shake!!!! My kids are going to have to go to DH or MIL to have teeth pulled.. I can't do it!!!

Does anyone have any ideas on what to do with a yard and 12" of the green kitty fabric I posted? I can't seem to think of anything, but I know I want something CUTE!!!

Love the princess clips those are ADORABLE

I was scrolling down thinking- awww...how cute. Then, I got to the bottom of the dress, saw the ruffles, and thought- fantastic!! Those girls are so pretty!!!

I love it!! I've never made a trial run, but sometimes I should have. For Tessa's 4th birthday, she wanted a care bear and a My Little Pony walking over a rainbow. So, I thought it would be cute to use Reddi-Whip to make "clouds" on the base cake. Did you know that Reddi-Whip turns to liquid after a few minutes? Well, it does! LOL! I had to stick it in the freezer before it completely dissolved!
ETA: {Tried to put a picture of it here, but it was HUGE}
The kids must not have cared because Lydia wanted the same cake for her 5th birthday.
If you just want the track to look more like asphalt or something, try putting some crushed oreos on it!

Thanks Jessica! It is wonderful having kids so close! It's almost like Tessa has a sister this way!
This made me cry. I'm such a sap! I often think that Tessa's really missing out by not having a sister. But, I'm so thankful that she has a "best friend cousin"!

This is great!! It's so hard to decorate a cake that involves a "face". You did a wonderful job!

It's a good thing she looks adorable with her "missing tooth grin"!! She is SOOO cute! I love her Cinderella dress, too! We have one of those bouncy things and I worry that the kids will get hurt on it. I hadn't heard the stories about kids getting hurt in them until after I bought it!

What a beautiful dress on a beautiful little girl. Good thing that your DH married such a beautiful woman.
Hey, what are you trying to say about Brian?! LOL! You're right, he did marry a beautiful woman!

I heard that the tooth fairy is bringing her 5 $1 gold coins!! She's very proud of the fact that she'll get to see the tooth fairy before her sister. Now, I'm not sure how she'll feel about the fact that she'll have that toothless grin for the next 3-4 years, but oh well. She's my little cutie, anyway!!! :lovestruc
I was going to tell the same story that Teresa told. I would like to add that it never bothered me not to have my 4 front teeth. I also had perfectly straight teeth when they grew in. Then, when I was 18, my wisdom teeth came in and they got all crooked- grrrrr....

Hello everyone, I can't get over the talent on this thread! You are all amazing! I don't know how to sew but am hoping to learn. I do have a question........How hard is it to sew a shower curtain? Is it something I could learn from a beginners sewing class or is it more involved than that?

Thanks, Donna :)
:welcome: I would think a shower curtain would be pretty easy for a beginner. Make sure you share pictures of what you make, even if it's not Disney related!

That's too funny...Ireland lost her top tooth today too....

Still beautiful!!

I am not finished but here is what I have been working on. My "model" is asleep :cool1: .......

So cute!! Lydia loves JoJo's circus! I like how you shirred the neckline. I hate to thread elastic, but I like to shirr. Maybe I should try that on my next peasant top.

I've been wanting to do an a-line for a while. I don't know what took me so long. It was very simple, and I love this look on my DD.
I did notice after I uploaded pics that I missed snipping a few threads.
I really like this! Sometimes a nice clean line is all you need! Very cute!

T-beri,
Thought about you today, we went to SW (HAD to meet Jack Hanna LOL)

Cindee
My mom met Jack Hannah at a local zoo. She has a little crush on him now! :lovestruc

Heather, pick yourself up off the floor and STOP laughing!
I think that is the very first time in my life that ANYONE has EVER called me an overachiever! Oh, if only that were even halfway true!
I was NOT laughing!! I think you ARE an overachiever! That's why you have such a hard time starting projects because you want it to be perfect.

Oh...my...gosh... THOSE ARE SO CUTE!!!!!!! Now I want to make some hair clippies. But, I probably won't. ;)

I have the Disney embroidery 180D. It's strictly embroidery. We bought it about a year ago for about $450. I just saw someone selling thiers on the site that should not be named. If someone would like the link to take a look at it, I'll pass it on.

Yeah!!! I finally got the multiquote down right. :D

BIRTHDAY PARTIES ARE DANGEROUS...TO YOUR DENTAL HEALTH!!!

IMG_1655.jpg

Madison and I were at a birthday party today and Madison knocked out one of her front teeth!! Yes, her front tooth! They had one of those bounce house things and Madison had been in it all day. It was the very end of the party and Madison came out of the bouncy for a drink of water. After she drinks, she starts crying and says that she is missing her tooth. Sure enough, I look up and she's bleeding and her top, front, left tooth is completely missing. We ice and call the pediatrician. The service calls back and basically she needs to eat soft foods for a few days, follow up with the dentist on Monday and if she has pain take Tylenol. Because it's a baby tooth, there's nothing that she can do. So, here's her new toothless grin.

Oh, but she gets to do one thing before her sister - GET A VISIT FROM THE TOOTH FAIRY!!!

Oh bless her heart!! I hope she's feeling better today!

I was at JoAnns today and saw fabric similar to the "Epcot" fabric people were finding at Hancock's last year. There were two prints... one with flags and faces (a little different than original print) and a coordinating print with small faces and writting (sorry - didn't look close enough to see what it said). The other difference from the Hancock fabric is that this one has a light blue backgroung rather than white. Both fabrics were $4.99 a yard and on sale for 30% off. It didn't look like anything had been cut off the bolt yet, so these must be fairly new.

I didn't pick any up, since I still haven't used what I bought at Hancocks, but the more I think about it, I may have to go back and pick up just a little to have one hand:rotfl:

Yeah!! I'm going to check it out this week when I'm there. We don't have a Hancock's anymore so I was going to have to resort to buying some on Ebay.

It's looking good!

Well, after my addiction with the embroidery machine, I felt the need to step away and get back to sewing something. So this is what I did today.

I love this outfit!! I love doing alines. I've got the Martha Pullen Aline pattern and I make my girls reversible ones all the time. The only thing I hate doing are the buttonholes. LOL

I'm a member over at hipgirl too. I learned SOO much about bow making over there. :)

Whoever made this, or anyone who has a pattern, do you have directions?
Here's a tutorial on how to make a pillowcase. :) http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/photo/2963694990051799419hNFTmW

I've got this machine too. I love it! Unfortunately I paid WAY more for mine when I got it 5 years ago.

Hi! Shower Curtains are very easy and good for a beginner. I know when I have done them the hardest part was doing the button holes for the shower hooks...just a bunch of long straight seams.....:thumbsup2 Nana

In my never ending quest to not go to bed before 2AM, I found some cute hair clippie instructions!

Those are adorable. It's a good thing dd4 isn't in here right now. I need time to work on those before she sees them or I won't have any peace 'till they're finished!

Sorry, I didn't realize I was signed in under Coreys' account, let's try that again!
These look absolutely adorable but I think I have "two left thumbs" when it comes to folding and knotting these intricate shapes. Did you try it yet?

I haven't tried these yet. When I showed Arminda, she crackyed up because "They don't have any EYES!!!"

My mom met Jack Hannah at a local zoo. She has a little crush on him now! :lovestruc
Yes, apparently, in person Jack Hannah is a VERY VERY nice looking man! ;)
Jack Hannah was actually at our tiny little hometown petting zoo about 3 miles from my house a few years ago! Unfortunately, I was in Florida at the time! But, my Mom met him.
I was NOT laughing!! I think you ARE an overachiever! That's why you have such a hard time starting projects because you want it to be perfect.
Aww, you are too nice to me !

Exactly what I was thinking too!

There are a lot of pillowcase patterns in the bookmarks.

And, I just added the link to the one posted. Thanks!

OOOH, you are going to make some?? I can't wait to see them!

Getting ready to head off to bed - but I had to share some Fabric I've bought recently - this is a shot of all of it, (well all but one print) I haven't decided what I am going to do with the kitties but I HAD to have it.

The dogs and dots will be a strip work jumper with a halter top, then the valentine stuff will probably be the same. The princess toile (or however it is you spell it will be a dress I think) and then there's the Pirates of the Caribbean fabric I found today (on my first hobby lobby trip) I have a close up of it here cause it's just too cool!!! :cool1: :cool1: I am going to make my little guy some pants and an "appliqué t shirt" for the pirate and princess party.

OOooo and I am SOOOO excited - probably why I am sooo exhausted and still awake - we just got our Seasonal Annual Disney Passes again - so we get to go back to Disney - starting tomorrow!!!! YEAH!!!!   Anyone who wants to do a weekend day trip for a few hours maybe we can meet up!

All the creations have been great again this week - wish I was that talented!!!!

And the talk of loose teeth is giving me the chills - I can handle scraped knees, broken bones, puke, boogers whatever but loose teeth give me the willies!!! :confused3

1. I'm with you on the teeth thing. I have dreams almost nightly about my teeth falling out. As a matter of fact I lost my bottom front two in last nights dream. UGH!

2. I LOVE that pirate fabric. My JoAnn's had some and I wanted to use it for a dress for Little and DH and DS shot me down. They said Jack looked creepy...WHATEVER. Why do I listen to men:confused3 ?

THIS is definitely a project for my mother. She loves detail stuff. Like hand sewing the trimmings on Lily's outfits...stuff I find incredibly tedious. I'm not sure I'd have the patience to sit down to do those clips though I'd like to try...instructions probably help. Kudos to the women who made those up. They are terribly clever.

I have this material and would love to make something for my DD's. Any ideas? I'm wanting to go ahead and make it so they can wear it right now. We will be at Disney 2 wks after valentines but who cares.

If there isn't a picture, can someone tell me how I can post pictures?

OK. I've made a dress, but I can't figure out how to post it! Someone please help!!! :confused3 :confused3

What's funny is that her sister is turned 6 in October and hasn't lost any teeth. Her front 2 bottom teeth are barely loose, and they've been that way for months. I actually think that it's more the fact that she keeps wiggling them. So, it may be a while for Madison's permanent teeth to come in, if she's anything like her sister, but I figure it just gives us cute pictures.

It's amazing how many people that I've heard from that have said that one of their children, or a friend's child has lost a baby tooth way early.

At least she looks cute with that smile!

It's looking good!

I need a little inspiration.

I made DD10 the tween flare skirt. I'll try to post a photo later tonight. I know I just found the skirt wadded up on DD's closet floor this morning, so it may be a picture of a wrinkly skirt! I made her a plain black peasant top to go with it.

OK. I've made a dress, but I can't figure out how to post it! Someone please help!!! :confused3 :confused3

You probably don't have enough posts to post your pics. but once you do you need to put them on ofoto or one of those picture hosting sites and right click scroll down to properties and click then copy the address (URL) and THEN when in your post click on the little postcard looking icon and paste the URL there.

At least that's how I do it. I put all of mt pictures in my MYSPACE photo albums b/c we usually upload them from the camera into kodak gallery and I can't always get the images to post from there. anywho. I hope that helps.

I don't know the official # of posts you have to have to post a picture but you can just post a countdown till you get to it. Noone will care. We'd rather you did so we can see your creations!!!

Looking forward to seeing what you've made.
...t.
