BIRTHDAY PARTIES ARE DANGEROUS...TO YOUR DENTAL HEALTH!!!

IMG_1655.jpg

Madison and I were at a birthday party today and Madison knocked out one of her front teeth!! Yes, her front tooth! They had one of those bounce house things and Madison had been in it all day. It was the very end of the party and Madison came out of the bouncy for a drink of water. After she drinks, she starts crying and says that she is missing her tooth. Sure enough, I look up and she's bleeding and her top, front, left tooth is completely missing. We ice and call the pediatrician. The service calls back and basically she needs to eat soft foods for a few days, follow up with the dentist on Monday and if she has pain take Tylenol. Because it's a baby tooth, there's nothing that she can do. So, here's her new toothless grin.

Oh, but she gets to do one thing before her sister - GET A VISIT FROM THE TOOTH FAIRY!!!

She is still sooo cute!

That's too funny...Ireland lost her top tooth today too....

Ireland looks cute too! I like all of the toothless grins!

MY2ANGELS, I hope your daughter is feeling better ( if there has been an update I missed and I wanted to be sure you knew I was thinking of you in my absence)
...t.

Hey t! Glad to hear from you! I was thinking about you the other day wondering how you were! Yes, my baby is soooo much better!   Thanks for thinking about her! Hope you feel better soon and everything works out for you guys! We miss you!

If you want to use regular fabric (not the plastic), over a liner. I'd think it would be pretty easy. It's basically straight seams and hem. If you buttonhole at the top, that may be a bit of a challenge. But then you could always use those curtain rod hooks that clip.

Yes, I was planning on using regular fabric. I have never seen the clip curtain hooks. I'll have to check those out. Thanks.

I got mine at Target

Mindy, I am so glad the little is feeling better. For BOTH of you!

I am not finished but here is what I have been working on. My "model" is asleep :cool1: .......

It's looking good!

Well, after my addiction with the embroidery machine, I felt the need to step away and get back to sewing something. So this is what I did today.

I've been wanting to do an a-line for a while. I don't know what took me so long. It was very simple, and I love this look on my DD.
I did notice after I uploaded pics that I missed snipping a few threads.

Very sweet. How are you my Cindee friend? I'm so excited to see you! I'm going to need to head East to get a little tute on applique I think, but can I stay the night, it's a long drive??:thumbsup2 ok, it's not THAT far I can probably drive back home:rolleyes:

Cindee - did you shirr at the neckline? Or use elastic? I really like the look you got with whatever you did.

I also LOVE this! I have some material and was going to use this pattern to make my DD1 something! I just haven't had the time to do ANYTHING!

Yes, I shirred the neckline. I think I need to add another couple rows to tighten it up a bit.

Revrob,
you are making me WANT a new machine! LOVE the Dot set!

T-beri,
Thought about you today, we went to SW (HAD to meet Jack Hanna LOL)

I may have been unclear in my post. I made the entire outfit completely on my sewing machine. I just felt the need to plain old sew. It was fun!

OMG love love love that! Did you do that tonight after you got home? Trying not to become the green eyed monster lol. DH got my machine out of the box. I have yet to even touch it because I have been messing around with kiddos! Hoping tomorrow or if not will be on Monday.

BTW I went by Sharmins and they have a great pirate skull print in a darker color with muted maps in the background. I really was thinking of buying some but didn't know what I was gonna do with it and it was 8.99 a yard ... ouch.

Did everyone get the "pillow panels" from Walmart? I checked the one nearest us and they do not have it. I guess I need to check the other ones around town.

Wow I didnt even think about making a practice cake...what a grand idea! I love the way it turned out with the cars and the m&m's...awesome job. I tried working with frosting and it is a bear. It took me three hours to frost my DD's birthday cake last weekend...here it is:

Oh no! The poor little thing! But, she sure looks cute!!!!! When Heather was about a year and half, she put a blanket over her head trying to scare us, and she fell right onto our coffee table and knocked her front teeth out. I don't think they came in until she was in 1st grade or so. She was a cutie pie though!

What a beautiful dress on a beautiful little girl. Good thing that your DH married such a beautiful woman.

Aww, Vicki, you just come here to flatter me! I like that! I'll tell Brian what you said, he needs a reminder every now and then! ;)

Aww, I love it!
Are there Walmart bags in those sleeves?:confused3 All joking aside, YOU are an overachiever and are making those of us less motivated look bad.
Heather, pick yourself up off the floor and STOP laughing!
I think that is the very first time in my life that ANYONE has EVER called me an overachiever! Oh, if only that were even halfway true!

The sleeves do have excellent poof factor, don't they!

Good night T.! I hope to see you on tomorrow!

Getting ready to head off to bed - but I had to share some Fabric I've bought recently - this is a shot of all of it, (well all but one print) I haven't decided what I am going to do with the kitties but I HAD to have it.

The dogs and dots will be a strip work jumper with a halter top, then the valentine stuff will probably be the same. The princess toile (or however it is you spell it will be a dress I think) and then there's the Pirates of the Caribbean fabric I found today (on my first hobby lobby trip) I have a close up of it here cause it's just too cool!!! :cool1: :cool1: I am going to make my little guy some pants and an "appliqué t shirt" for the pirate and princess party.

YEAH!!!!   Anyone who wants to do a weekend day trip for a few hours maybe we can meet up!

All the creations have been great again this week - wish I was that talented!!!!

And the talk of loose teeth is giving me the chills - I can handle scraped knees, broken bones, puke, boogers whatever but loose teeth give me the willies!!! :confused3

These look absolutely adorable but I think I have "two left thumbs" when it comes to folding and knotting these intricate shapes. Did you try it yet?

Oh and T-Beri - welcome to the work world...its "interesting" trying to balance everything, huh? ;)

I had cut out the top and put on the appliques Friday night and set it aside. Last night when I got home, I finished up the top, and did the pants.

I need to go by Sharmins, but that place is dangerous! I always spend more money in there than I intended.

The pillow panels you're talking about (the ones that everyone has been using lately?) are actually Pillowcases. They're in the kids bedding aisle at WalMart. I know I got Ariel and the princesses (they also had Tink) at the WalMart on Gilmer Rd.

It was so cool to meet you! We need to get together and sew sometime!
