OK, I couldn't take it anymore! I had to make a Disney outfit! It should still fit in Dec - at least I hope! I used the new Mickey fabric from Wal-Mart. I blinged the t-shirt with some iron-on crystals. I can't wait to try it on her!

It's not crooked in person, just hanging kind of wonky.

This is great! I love the combination of fabrics!

You are all so talented. I am amazed. I habitually check this thread every morning!:cool1:

I also love the combination of colors, I'm now trying to figure out how to use it with chocolate brown. I love the pink/chocolate combo! Also dd8 saw this while she was passing by and she has to have one!!!

Question, dd2 has a skort that I want to play with and I was wondering if it would be possible to add tulle under the existing skirt part? I've never worked with tulle before, so I'm not sure what the possibilities are!

:thanks:

I just thought of a really neat autograph idea. What if I made daughter a pillowcase dress in advance, and then had the characters sign it (using the embroidery hoop and sharpies) Wouldn't that be a super cute outfit?? Plus she wouldn't outgrow it too quickly, because those dresses can easily be shirts for a bigger girl. Oh I am so proud of myself!!! :scared1: Wonder what type of mateerial to use for the dress? Can't you just see it with red ribbons with white poka dots???? Holy cow!!!!! Someone better do this quick, so I can copy!!!!!

Now all I need is to find what page all of those pillowcase dress instructions were on. Anyone reading that might have a better memory than mine? Thanks!!

Neat idea!!! What to use for autographs? Sharpie or paint pen? I have a plain yellow pillowcase that I've been trying to decide a design for, I just might have to hold out until I can copy this also!!

I used sharpies with success on t-shirts when the boys did it years ago. I have read where someone said they "run" But the plus to them is they are easy for the characters to hold onto, and you can get a pack of like 6 in primary type colors that look great.

I don't see why you couldn't do this - just lift up the skirt and sew the tulle right under the waistband.

Why not just use fabric markers. They WONT run and they are the size and shape of a sharpie so characters can sign w/o any problem.

Where do you buy fabric markers? are they expensive? I know all about sharpies, so fabric markers are new to me. I have used 'Paint pens" before, but they are messy.

I just get them with the sharpies. They're called "Rub-a-dub-dub". I know they come in black as well as a few other colors. You should be able to find them at a Walmart or any store really. If you're looking for several color options, call a craft or fabric store to see what they have available.

You can also get the at Oriental Trading . com

We bought them for my Girl scout troop.

Hi gang!

Please do not post direct links to ebay sales on the DIS boards. It goes against DIS board guidelines. Here is the guideline that applies:

1. FOR SALE For sale ads are strictly prohibited on any of the DISboards. Anyone posting such ads will have their post deleted. This same policy applies to links to your ebay/auction listings . "For sale" posts includes requests for donations. If you are participating in or wish to promote a charitable event, please email the webmaster at webmaster@wdwinfo.com for permission first. (You will be asked to provide proof that the organization is legitimate.) Until your request is approved, we ask that you do not post about it on the boards.

I've given a bunch of warnings lately and would hate to give points, but if the for sale posts continue I will have to.

Thanks!

I haven't been on here in awhile. I've had sick kids. Yuck! Anyway, the outfits posted lately are SO ADORABLE. I'm too scared yet to try anything with tulle. Maybe someday. Here's what I've been working on. It's Tinker Bell fabric, plain orange, and plain hot pink.

The backs are slightly different. DD5 has straps that cross in the back and DD3 has ties. It's my first attempt at shirring (is that what it's called?), meaning I made the back with elastic so it's stretchy.

Also, I tried ordering the Minnie fabric that was on sale at 40% off, but it's not on sale anymore. Maybe next time.

I have a question about this....I didn't know there were "points" Is that like demerits, and if you get too many you are kicked off the DIS?:scared1: I'm not upset (don't sell anything from here on e-bay, and even don't know how to do links or post pics:) ) I'm just curious. does this include when we PM someone asking them if they sell on e-bay? Just curious, thanks! I always assumed PM's were PRIVATE, are they moderated too?:confused3
