Okay...These are my first efforts towards doing anything creative. They are just bows but my DD likes them and that's all that matters. Sorry for the picture quality.

any coments, tips, or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I think you did a great job!

Disneymomej: I have a Bernina-the artista but I never have liked the way that it sews. However,I spoke to a lady who sells Babylock and she was a doll,so I'll check into it. Thank-you.

giasmom: The guy who sells the Brother machine also sells Viking Husqvarna. I love to watch Martha's sewing room and I believe she uses a Viking Husqvarna.

Sally:I can't find the Disney ped 180. Is that the Brother number or maybe a software number?

Thanks ladies for the suggestions. I'll run to town tomorrow and take a look at these machines

Yes, I myself really prefer my babylock to a bernina (sorry, I know bernina has a cult following). I have had mine for about 3 years, and it just sews like a dream, makes me look good;) . Check it out.

Castle Creations,

I must ask... Do you use a pleater (used in smocking) to do the shirring? I am currently smocking a dress for dd and wondered if this was how you did this?

I have an extra Walmart Red Polka Dot dress in a size 4t that we won't be using. I was able to snag a 5t finally for my almost 8 year old to hopefully wear as a top. :rotfl2:

I am going to return it unless anyone is still looking for one? Just what I paid plus shipping or maybe trade for something? Just let me know! Thanks!! :wizard:

Anyone have a Christmas Princess outfit or dress they'd like to share? I'm looking for ideas for dd6 & dd8, we're surprising them with a trip to BBB before we go to MVMCP and not sure what to bring for them to wear.
Thanks!

Actually, I don't want fancy dresses for them to wear to MVMCP, but I would like some Christmas Princess ideas for them to wear to breakfast at CRT.

I am really loving the Walmart dresses. Beautiful!

Also, I know places like youcanmakethis.com sell patterns... is that what you ebay sellers use? I just want to make sets for my kids and not sell them. I sell other stuff on ebay. ;)

How about sewing onto a piece of felt, then just attaching the piece of felt, that would probably be easiest. You could glue them on first if you wanted, just not over the holes. I think if you just glued on they might fall off. I have no experience with this though.

thanks - didnt see them at my walmart - but will try the other stores!! they are sooo cute!! i would just love 2 of those red ones!!! i think they would go perfect, do you?

how do you think i would attach them?

As I was posting these photos, I'm thinking whew...he's done, finally. Now I noticed that his socks are missing the red and blue stripes. :sad2: I guess I'm not done, after all
and his little dots on his cheeks...
Anyway I made a simple twirl skirt, and the halter has a shirred back. I like this style because it's a little more form fitting. The halter, came out okay. It looks like it's missing something.

Oh My daughter would love this! I am actually bidding on one of those jeweled headbands that has Sponge Bob characters on it! Are you going to list this for sale on e-bay?

My Walmart had them in the fabric and craft aisles with the scrapbooking supplies.
