thanks - didnt see them at my walmart - but will try the other stores!! they are sooo cute!! i would just love 2 of those red ones!!! i think they would go perfect, do you?
how do you think i would attach them?
cool - i will check walmart again, there are 3 not too far away from me so i'll check 'em all if i have to!!!!! lol!!!!
would you hot glue them directly to the ribbon?
also, i got some ribbon fray stuff - im not sure i like how it changed the ribbons color - i got the kind from Joann's and its in a glue bottle,,,,anything better????
Now that it has dried some, is it any better? Does it just look wet? My tube of "fray block" says to wait for 24 hours before washing or wearing. Maybe you should just wait for a while to let it "cure." Anybody else?
Anyone have a Christmas Princess outfit or dress they'd like to share? I'm looking for ideas for dd6 & dd8, we're surprising them with a trip to BBB before we go to MVMCP and not sure what to bring for them to wear.
Thanks!
It's not a Princess dress, (although my daughter was treated like a Princess wearing this outfit) but it is Christmas. It might help to give you an idea to wear in the parks around Christams time.

Hello Everyone!
I found this thread this past weekend and loved all the cute outfits. We are leaving in 11 days which didn't give me much time, but I tried to make some T's for our day at Animal Kingdom. I used lime green T's and fabric, ribbon and safari animals I found at Michael's Craft store. I also made several sets of hairbows to go with different outfits during the week for my two littlest girls. Thanks everyone for your great ideas.![]()
Here are some pics:
P.S.
Did you find the hidden Mickeys on the T and hairbows? They were cute Mickey buttons intended for scrapbooking but I couldn't resist and put them on the bows and T's.![]()

Smocking a dress is a little different than the shirring. For the shirring, I use an elastic thread in my bobbin, and when you sew across the top with a long straight stitch, it shirrs the fabric. With smocking, you will need the pleater. I have thought about smocking, but I decided it was too hard for me.Castle Creations,
I must ask... Do you use a pleater (used in smocking) to do the shirring? I am currently smocking a dress for dd and wondered if this was how you did this?

As I was posting these photos, I'm thinking whew...he's done, finally. Now I noticed that his socks are missing the red and blue stripes.I guess I'm not done, after all
and his little dots on his cheeks...
Anyway I made a simple twirl skirt, and the halter has a shirred back. I like this style because it's a little more form fitting. The halter, came out okay. It looks like it's missing something.

I am really loving the Walmart dresses. Beautiful!
Also, I know places like youcanmakethis.com sell patterns... is that what you ebay sellers use? I just want to make sets for my kids and not sell them. I sell other stuff on ebay.![]()
