I've been following the conversation about older kids wearing boutique clothes and honestly think that it depends on your child. My older kids love to wear boutique style outfits. And I ended up making them all matching outfits because it's easier for me to spot them in the park. Here are a few outfits I have almost finished and already finished to give you a few ideas for the older kids. The outfits don't contain nearly as many ruffles as I would use if it were for just my youngest daughter.
The first outfit has colored velcro and the leg ruffles can be exchanged for flowers or other decorations to match other shirts. The shirt shown just has an iron on ariel on it.
The second outfit has a giraffe print mickey on the shirt and the back pocket of the jeans.
These dresses have matching purses made from material scraps.
We went very casual last time except for the character meals, this time they asked if they could get a little more dressed up so we made outfits for each of the parks. (And if you are wondering about using white in the parks, I have treated the back of the pants with fabric protector.)
