Love these. Can ask how you made the white bow. I love that look.

I LOVE your autograph album! What a treasure. I'm sure your daughter appreciates all the time and effort that went into it. You and I have a very similar scrapbook style. One of these days, as soon as the boards will allow, I'll post a link to mine. Beautiful work!:)

I love the bows-to me they are not boring at all. Wish my DD was younger. Do you think I'd look silly wearing one? :rotfl:

I already have my Minnie Mouse halter top and hat ready to go and I just got matching polka dot flip flops. Am I the only mom that dresses up? I mean, I don't put on the princess dresses or anything, but I try to put on something Disney each day at the parks and have fun with it. If I did that at home, I'm sure my friends and family would have me committed.:upsidedow

Several pages back somebody was wondering what to do for boys patterns. They're definately few and far between if you're looking in the usual places. Do an ebay search for "Ottobre" . These are fun, funky Euro patterns that sew together beautifully. They have lots of trendy boys designs. The patterns come in books, each with dozens of great options. However, if you've never seen them before, they can be a little intimidating if you're not used to seeing Euro patterns. You first must trace the pattern and add your own seam allowances before cutting your fabric out. The pattern pages can be a little confusing, but it helps to first highlight the size you need in the same color before transferring it to your tracing paper. It's worth the extra effort--Ottobre designs such darling kids clothes. If you'd like to see the designs that come in each issue, check out ottobredesigndotcom

Hope this helps!

I wear Disney clothes too - not boutique or custom but I bought some of the boutique t-shirts from the Disney store before we left. I got tons of compliments on them in the parks!!!!

For those wanting to make appliques but don't have a sewing machine or want to sew, I remembered what my SIL used to do. She would make an applique and apply it to the shirt or pants. She would use fabric paint to outline. It is an idea. :)

Hey great Idea! Wish I had thot of it..oh..wait I did.:lmao: Sorry, I just found it funny that you would mention that because I have been working on some shirts for our trip a few minutes ago. (9 ppl total--matching shirts..yes I am an idiot.:rotfl2: ) That is exactly what I am doing with ours. Just simple applique and some fabric paint to outline the lettering so it doesnt fray. I am using this cool iron on stuff called Steam A Seam sticky back fusible web. great stuff

I use the fusable web on my appliques too. I don't know what brand I use though. I buy it by the yard from a bolt. :)

oooh I love them! How did he do that?

Well I found some pictures on a site.... I will PM you if you want more detail.... anyway, he reversed the color, then colored them in. It took him a while to color everything in and make it look right (he used "paint" to color them). After the people were done, he added the wording in a picture program. :goodvibes jen

I love the bows, very cute. How did you get the bottle caps to stay on? What kind of glue to use? I want to try and make a few bows for DD before she gets too old and cool to wear them. Also where did you find the plain barrettes or french clips for the bows? Thanks in advance.

I walk away freom the computer and there are 7 pages of posts:eek: :rotfl2:  :rotfl2: So now I'm way behind but I wanted to respond. Thank you to everyone for the compliments. I liked what I did but I wondered what others would think. You guys made me feel so much better.

I love your outfit! I don't have a sewing machine either. How did you make the ribbon jeans? Are the minnie heads pre-made? I'd love to make an outfit like this for dd4. Any help getting started would be great!!!

I actually glued all of the items in those pictures! I bought the E6000 fabric glue recommended on this thread. The letters are iron ons I bought at joann's. The mickey heads are the iron on patch material to repair holes, I cut the mickey heads out and then glued them down (I tried to iron but they wouldn't hold!) The ribbon is just cut, heated the edges with a lighter so they won't fray, glued the tips together and then glued them to the inside of the pants and clamped them down (with large binder clips) until the glue dried. I'm amazed how well the glue works. I HIGHLY recommend it!

If anyone is not so creative on here, like me I just found a red with white dots mini ruffle skirt clearance for $7 at Walmart. They were in the girls section and I saw sizes from 4t- size 8. The dots are a bit small though. I got it anyway to go with DD's minnie shirt we bought from Castle creation. She also has a custom made minnie mouse halter dress I bought last year on ebay that still fits luckily.

How did you get your minnie heads so perfect? Did you use a picture or clipart photo? The Capri's are really cute!

I took the Mickey head posted on here way back (in the 20s) and copied it into word. I made it the sizes I wanted then traced and cut out the fabric. I worked really well and actually very easy. I could never do that by hand!

Thanks! I could never do the Mickey's by hand either. I'm sure they would look unproportioned  .

Love all the newest pictures! I do plan on making an autograph book too, just never get around to doing anything along the lines of fun. Always cleaning it seems!

I love how creative everyone is and love how fast the thread is moving. I check every morning usually and there are close to 10 new pages each morning!

Oh I forgot to post that I saw the most darling baby girl outfits at Walmart last week. On clearance too. They were Minnie sailor outfits. They would be fabulous for a cruise.

I found a link!

ok that is enough. There are a ton of cute stuff on there though.

I'm still a learner but I make this for dd7 over the weekend. It's hard to find or make things for the older ones. Plus I don't yet own a sewing machine! Next I'm doing ds4 some pants!

Amy, This would look cute with a Minnie skirt I want to make. It that a Mickey head applique over the ribbon? Does it look bumpy or anything?

It is an applique basically. It is a fabric head on interface and stitched down around the edges. It does look bumpy at all. Good luck :woohoo:

I used hot glue gun for the bottle caps and found the clips at hobby lobby I think. My dd's love wearing clips with disney characters on it
