Everything was so cute! I'm no help on how to help you with your questions. Sorry! I love the tennis shoes though! I never thought of sharpies! Heck even I can do that, and we always have sharpies around!

Very cute....How did you do the shirts? Are they iron ons??

That's better than scotch tape like my mom has been recommending :scared1: !

I had a lady ask me one day when I was out with Parker if I had glued the bow in her hair! She was dead serious!! I shot back with "yeah, I used hot glue - she only cried for a minute!" Probably wasn't the response she was looking for but oh well!

Hey, a little off the topic, but has anybody here ever made custom autograph albums for their kiddos? I did it twice--once for their first trip to Disneyland and again when they went to Mickey's H'ween treat also at Disneyland. They turned out SO, SO cute and my boys got extra special attention from all of the characters. Perhaps I'll post them sometime along with the outfits I'm making. I'm thinking of making more autograph albums for our trip this Fall. Gotta get those cute custom clothes done first...

I have a question for you all who use the iron on images. I have a fabulous printer and buy high grade transfer paper, also high quality tees, but my image always never transfers right. Either it's burned and wrinkled up underneath, or some of it doesn't transfer and the image looks terrible. I've wasted tons of money on tees and transfer paper. Any tips? Do you all use a pressing cloth under your iron?

I've only done a few so I'm no expert, but my best experience has been to use Print 'n' Press paper (at WM you find it in the craft section, not stationery with the other) and set your printer to normal print quality. Setting it to higher quality will use too much ink for the paper to absorb. I cover my design with parchment paper, and use iron set on cotton in a circular motion with a little pressure. Also, make sure when you cut your design out to cut away as much as possible of the unused paper. Make sense?

If you are going to use dark shirts or jeans, lots of people recommend the transfer paper for dark fabrics and that is in the stationery dept at WM.

Good luck!! I love making the shirts, I have several more to do. Wickedmom75 made the cutest design for my girls' shirts to wear at Ohana. I can't wait to make those!!

I use 3/8" ribbon for the korkers. Grosgrain seems to curl the best!

Grosgran... Is that something that is going to be printed on the spool when I buy the ribbon? If not, how do I recognize it?

Here are pics of the autograph book I did for DD2. She got lots of extra attention too. The characters enjoyed seeing pictures of themselves on the autograph page. Of course, Mad Hatter put on the biggest show.

Would it be too much to ask how you made it? Or should we start another thread, since it's not exactly "clothing"? ;)

I LOVE the autograph albums. You all did a WONDERFUL job. There's such a wide varitey of creative people that frequent this thread. As soon as I "earn my ears", I'll post pics of mine. That'll give me some time to scan them too. I include pics of my kids on the pages with the characters after we come home so it's a memory book too. My kids pull theirs out on a nearly DAILY basis. It's a great way for them to remember the good times we've had at DL.

I have heard of people gluing shelf liner into the alligator clips for fine hair.

I am starting to think of our MNSSHP costumes. Thinking of making a Mickey outfit for Ds out of that same pattern I used for his backyardigans outfit. What do you all think? Black top half/red bottom. Large circles appliqued on for the buttons.

I think I will be a mouseketeer. I actually have a shirt and skirt I can use.

Anyone have any other ideas for a cute boy outfit that would be nice and cool for a hot Sept night?
